It is better to call up the school to collect the offer another day if you are interested.

Ya . Thanks
Will definitely collect the letter . Shall let DS decide which school he prefer the end .
What! Your DS is a GEP? He can collect the COs from all Singaporean schools?
Hmm,θΆζθΆι»δΊγ
Anyway he can not go to girls school.
According to my knowledge, it is very difficult to get the DSA of RI for a non-GEP via the academic domain, about 10 or so?
He is GEP & applied for 3 schools .
Nush CO is not easy to get , not all the GEPer get the offer .
DS is happy to get the offer and it reduce the stress for the coming psle .
Your statement about NUSH - GEPer is absolutely correct. My DD was in GEP in 2010. Some of her classmates did'nt not make it to round 2 and some did'nt get CO after the round 2 camp. It's far easier for GEPer to make it to RI/HCI and RGS/NYGH than NUSH. That's a true fact.
And chances are for those GEPers who have the NUSH COs, they are also multiple COs of RI/RGS/NYGH and out of 10, 7 will probably choose the prestige of RI/RGS and hence for those on NUSH WLs (not many) it is almost 100% guranteed the COs on PSLE result day provided they choose NUSH as no 1 choice on DSA Preference Option.
Why I said that ? The NUSH Cohort size every year is always less than 140 (out of the intended 170)
That's also a true fact.

OIC, your boy applied RI, HCI, and NUSH.He is a GEP, so he almost can get these three COs. Nush CO is the most difficult one to be get. My boy is non-GEP. Though he took part in the 2nd round of RI. But others said only 2~3 COs will be given from the 60 pupils applied in maths domain. For Non-GEP, RI is the most difficult one.
:congrats: Ur GEP boy! -

You really don't know meh !! Welcome to the world of IP schools eg RI, RGS - a different class of Schools from mainstream secondary school (eg teachers are employed independently - not part of MOE staff) , and hence a different set of school fees.Wah Liew... Just found out from my friends that school fees at NUS High for Singapore Citizen is at least $300 / month, compared to $15 for normal secondary school.....

All students with T-Score above 260 automatically got the MOE EESIS scholarship of $2400 per year. GEPers also got GEP scholarship of $2400 per as long as they get the GEP Promotion (no necessity to score above 260).
Only students out of this category (eg T-score 259 or less) DSAed into IP-School must pay the full $300 per months !!!!
There are also additional scholarship from end Y2 onwards in NUSH eg YDSP scholarship ($500 per year) , A*Star Science Award Upper Sec scholarship ($1,000 PER YEAR) , A*Star JC AWard $2000 per year etc.
Also, 3rd languages eg French, Japanese in NUSH are conducted in-house as part of school curriculum, Students pay $100 per month. Of course student can study free at MOELC - outside school time-table at MOELC centres.
So parents whose kids get DSAed into IP-school must hope n pray their kids get the EESIS scholarship else don't complaint about $15 vs $320 school fees !!
Having said that all good students can literally study for free in all IP-School. -
So expensive! How to do for the international or PRsβ students? I think PRs also can not apply for EESIS.
