Me Time!

You won't want to know. They tried to push me a $900 package for 5 sessions recently :yikes:sleepy:
Went facial today. 2.5 hours

Where did you go for your facial?
I'm very price conscious when come to signing packages. To me, the essential features to be included in a facial are eye brow trimming and extraction. Oh, I like the face massage too, but this is like standard, every spa also give face & shoulder massage during facial.
So the sales pitch about more hydration la, more intensive la, premium machines la, are just that, sales pitch for their commission.
I got no complaint about this facial place (service is fine) except that after the initial reasonably priced package I signed up, they started pushing the ridiculously priced ones. It's the same practice with my other facial package with another spa, they also tried to persuade me to renew at double the price. Seriously I wonder who will ε»ε» renew at that price? I'm curious don't they realise it's a buyer's market as far as spa is concerned :scratchhead: with so many spa hungry for business
So when the consultant asked me why I'm not willing to spend on better facial package for my face, I was thinking to myself, of course I'm willing to spend on my face, just not willing to pay you that fat a bonus
Say instead of $900 for 5 sessions, I would rather choose a basic $300 package and the remaining $600 can be used to buy birdnest, collagen drink, moisturiser, face masks and eye masks for regular home care
I think regular home care is as important. Can't just rely on facial once every 3 weeks. But facial is still a must to me, need extraction to clear the pores so face can better absorb the products use at home
The thing I like about home care is nowadays whenever I go facial, the consultant has less and less thing to pick on in an attempt to sell me expensive packages. Now they tend to harp on my dark circles
Stepping up on my eye mask regime to 3x a week. Hopefully there will be noticeable improvement soon
My logic make sense?

Sleepy,
The one I go to has facial priced at $750 per facial :yikes: Premium ones..
Aiya.. They push according to how much they think we can afford :siao:
Nowadays I do not bring my credit/debit/ATMs when I go for facial or nail treatment.. Whatever they say also no use
I also do not pay in installments for these treatments so I will look at the lump sum. See if I'm willing to part with thousands at one go.
Anyway they also no longer complain about my face.. I got no eye bags or wrinkles.. Only some blackheads..
As long as you are happy with what you have, just ignore them.. -
I have signed up spa & facial package at different beauty salon. One at city area and one at neighbourhood. The one at city area is more on the massage package which has been βon goingβ 8 yrs back. But I only visit them only once every 2-4 mth interval.
Sleepy, your logic is 101% logical. Daily maintenance and eating habits are vital than visiting of those beauty salon. I really hate those pushy consultant! -
Most importantly is what you consume daily. Unhealthy habits will show on your skin. Eat well and maintenance will be easy..
I just had my Hashima dessert

After reading your post, I googled for more info, found in Wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hasma
Although not exactly is the frog uterus, but close to that, equally gross :yikes: ... and It says:-- \"Young children are however not recommended to take it, as the high contents of hormones might cause puberty to begin early.\" :yikes: -

Some time ago, the ST runs an article on Jurong Frog Farm. After I know what snow jelly is made from, I do not eat or let my boys take them anymore :yikes:Nebbermind:
