Hi,


I’m planning to register my boy for HIPS next year. Would like to know:

1) If I’m Catholic and use my in-laws’ address in Kovan to register, can I register under Phase 2B, and if there is balloting, it’ll be considered between 1-2km right?
2) Am I allowed to put my kid in after school care if I use my IL’s address to get a place in the school? If not, does anyone have recommendation on where I can put my child in ard kovan area? I don’t think my ILs can help with his homework.
3) Which subjects are taught in Mandarin? I heard it’s Chinese, Social Studies and Moral Ed? Maths & Science still in English right?
4) HC is just one subject and my son doesn’t have to take normal Chinese + higher Chinese right?

They normally stream at the end of p2, p4. They will remain in the same class for p3 & p4.

Hello! My child will be P3 next yr too. I am curious how do the sch stream the students? I know every year there will be 1 or 2 classes that r considered a better class. Anyone know which class is a better class for next yr?
