The school are stressing out the children.
I can tell you it is unbearable to continue supplementary lessons after school.
Already tired after a long day...followed by more lessons in hot and humid classroom. There is homework like sets of past year paper.

Am surprised the sch teacher did not inform you about time extension since your boy's case is known to her.
Do call her asap to find out if still can apply n how to apply. -

I was like that when my daughter took PSLE 2 yrs ago too! We decided that it was a good thing - my daughter could focus on what we felt added value to her (because not all kids need practice in the same things), and still get adequate rest and relaxation. A lot of PSLE prep is repetitive, but doing paper after paper isn't actually useful unless the child needs practice in all aspects of the paper. We preferred to select what we felt she needed to work on, and just do 1 full paper a week in each subject (if the school didn't already set this as homework). My daughter still had time to read story books, play games and take the weekend off, and she faced the exams well-rested and fairly relaxed. Her results were as good as we could hope for, so we were satisfied that she had done sufficient preparation even though she seemed quite free. -
