      Hi Parents,

      Seeking some advice here!
My DS will be in P2A2 for Henry Park, under sibling ex-student. We are SC but living more than 2km away so if suay suay cannot get in (which I think the likelihood is very very high); should we register at P2C at Qifa (1 to 2km) or P2C at Alexandra (definitely more than 2 km away). Where do you think we stand a better chance? And should we even consider Henry Park at P2C?
      TIA!
      Hi Angelo,

If I were you, I will try Henry park under p2a2 1st. If suay suay don't even have a chance to ballot due to distance priority, then I will withdraw and register at qifa or Alexandra. Since you live more than 2 km from Henry park, frankly speaking, you don't even stand a chance to ballot at all at p2c. All the best to you.

          Thanks very much lukemommy!

Feeling rather disappointed, we have been telling DS since baby that he will go to the school that Jie Jie went to, but now very likely \"pao tang\" liao.

            Hi krex,

I am worried that we can't get in qifa at P2C too, there's going to be balloting this year too I think, but don't know is it for SC or PR?

We think qifa is a good school too, just that Jie Jie was from Henry Park so DS likes to be like her.

You are very welcome, angel πŸ™‚ we are all here to help each other if possible...

If you have the chance to ballot @ p2a2, just go for the ballot regardless the odds high or low at least you have tried. If get in, yippy ! If don't, still have p2c can try another school. I think most alumnis stay more than 2 km unless due to the new ruling, a number of them shift or rent within 1 km from the school, then chances to go for ballot will be slimmer.

Just out of curiosity...does distance and sleep time affect results? Would your DD have done better if she was closer to the school or went to a school which was nearer home?

I have a colleague who was faced with this choice, but she ended up choosing the school nearest her home, she gave up the chance for her child to attend Nanyang!

Her DS is now in secondary school, RI, in Bishan. Her DD is a GEP student, in a further away school and results are sufferring - she seems to think that her choosing a school which was just across from her block was/is a mitigating factor.
