Out of curiosity, why would it be free if the student was invited to join?

The invitation refers to joining the school team for training because the child shows potential. Hence, it's free.

Note: I am referring to lower primary when CCA is not compulsory.

There is robotics club but the circular stated it is for p2 students. I suppose u can check with the person in charge.

Sorry, what invitation are u referring to?

swimming, for instance? Sorry I didn't make it clear, I was referring to your reply to Dnls_mum earlier.

Sorry, for swimming, I am not sure.

Just to add, for Chinese Orchestra, everyone is welcomed to join FOC.

Chinese Orchestra sounds more suitable for girls. My DS would prefer hardcore exercises to drain away his excessive energy 🤷

Hello greetings… i am new and trying to explore my first post here.

Quick question: is the orientation on Nov 16 compulsory for both parents and child? My DD goes to P1 next year.
Sorry if this has been answered before. Thanks!

                Hi Scottish Haggis,

My understanding is that orientation day is also when the textbooks and uniforms are sold at the TT campus. Both parents are recommended to attend so that one will stay with the child and take notes on first day while the other purchase the texts.

It is not compulsory but it's good to attend. The children will be introduced to their FT and classmates. There are quite a few forms to be completed and submitted that day. So if you don't attend, you will actually need to make a trip to the General Office during the weekday to complete and submit them.

Textbooks and school uniforms do not need to be purchased on Orientation Day. You can order the textbooks on-line and opt for home delivery or collection at school bookshop. Vendor for school uniform will sell the uniforms on several days during the Nov/Dec school holidays (dates specified in the orientation package).

                        Hi DimSum,

Thanks for the clarification on orientation day.
Just to check, is Pacific Bookstore still offering online purchase?
The website seems to state otherwise, my missus called to check
and was informed that we are to buy all text from the school on orientation day.
