Hi! I am a new KSP hoping to find some help early this first day of CNY .

My son is in P2 in HIPS. I have a girl in K2 this year and I am hoping to send her to PLMGS. I stayed within 1 km of both schools.
How's my chance of getting into PLMGS in phase 2C? If I fail the balloting, can I go back to HIPS?

For your chance at PLMGS, please refer to the balloting history http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/hougang.

You should register your girl in HIPS under Phase 1 first, and monitor the situation in PLMGS. If you are confident of yoru chance in Phase 2C for PLMGS, you may then withdraw your application in HIPS and regiser in PLMGS. You can't go back to HIPS and request for priority registration once you pass the Phase 1 in HIPS.

By the way, you haven't reported at the Newbie section yet, right? Please report there. It's a SOP in KSP.com.

Hello Everyone! 'm new here! a friend recommended me this website as my boy is now K1 and i've started scouting around for a suitable primary school. i'm totally amazed and super impressed by the wealth of information you have amassed - a million kudos to the chiefs!!! simply a godsend for clueless parents like myself! thank you thank you!!!


my residence is w/i 1 km of a few good schools, namely rosyth, HIPS, xinmin and hougang. i'd set my sights on rosyth only to find out recently that i've missed the registration for parent volunteer! *sigh* has anyone tried appealing successfully for late registration before???? the school refused to entertain any request. an alternative route is via grassroot work but i dont think it's in the right spirit. plus i dont think i'm cut out for that! if i dont go the 2B route, what are the chances of success during 2c?

i'm also contemplating between the other 3. xinmin seems strong academically but the CCAs sound boring. Hougang on the other hand appears to offer an interessting non-academic curriculum but i'm not so sure about its academic strengths. it sure is climbing up the popularity charts though.... read a lot about HIPS on this forum but dont quite know its strengths (other than being a SAP school)

i guess what i'm looking for is a well-rounded school with a good balance of academic achievements and CCA curriculum. anyone's got any advice or personal experience to share?
