Hi Shinobi, your child not in SOTA yet? You are a regular here and I thot your DC already in this school.

Dadeda, any art form has their level of difficulties. Anyway, all artform study the same subjects (junior level) so academically they are all the same. It's their artform aka CCA that takes up the hours and apparently Dance is the longest compared to the rest. VA has their fair share of gallery setting, exhibition outside school hours.

Look at it this way. If the IB ain't good, why are there more and more schools going the IBDP way?
Both my children are in SOTA and we have never regretted our decision. I think it is still the best school if you have children with talents that they want to pursue and at the same time receive a good and rounded education.

Am a KS mum la! My dd is in p4 and is very keen on SOTA. Am supportive of her choice and frankly feel that their programme is a lot more holistic than mainstream schools. It's just that we sometimes hear that HW at SOTA is very different and stressful (just heard this from her ballet friend's mum) so it worries me.
But I really hope dd does make it to SOTA coz I think she's the type that will enjoy school as long as she gets to dance at the same time.

Just called SOTA. They will mail out all the results early next week. Check your mail box from next Wed onwards. If you do not receive any letter by end of next week, please call SOTA directly. :xedfingers:

This post was dated 19 Aug 2013 so should be tmr onwards. The admin dept is very short handed. New P, new directions n new staffs.

Just called SOTA and spoke to the Manager of Admissions. SOTA will only be mailing out the TA results within these 2 days. So we can only expect to receive the letter end of this week or early next week.
