I drive from Punggol to somewhere near Aitong daily. The journey is quite alright. If take school bus will be around 1 hour. If take bus home, I don't know will be how long cos I've never done that before. I don't even know what buses there are around the area.
That's like driving from Tampines to Jurong... *faint* -
1 hour by schoo bus is no joke. The kid would be very tired esp need to spend 2 hour on the journey.

In fact I feel that balloting in Nan Chiau is a better choice but what happen if the balloting is unsuccessful? If the posting is to a school which is more than 1km away, my child still needs to take school bus. Some friends advise me to go for Ai Tong as I do not need to go through the stress of balloting. Worse come to worse, if really find that travelling is a problem, suggest I move to Bishan.

In that case you should start looking for property at Bishan, ANg Mo Kio, since ATS is your prefered choice.

the diff is...1 hr by school bus is those start-stop routine, as those buses tat cover student further from school, i.e >2km.... most probably over all the student with 1 bus...

owners can always ask whatever they want; no buyers = no sales.

Even if staying near popular sch (Like me)... <1KM also must ballot.... <0.5KM also must ballot... why pay $100K??
