Can i check with parents here if your kids have external enrichment lessons .e.g piano / violin, sports and whether such lessons can be continued during boarding terms, esp if it is during the weekdays. Thank you.

You can return to boarding school by dinnertime? If not, have to ask for permission to be out. eg. mine has to go to CCAB in the evenings, so with the MOE letter stating the schedule, apply with boarding school for \"leave\". All other lessons, eg. music and tuition, we schedule on weekends. But I know some of the kids have these during the afternoons and come back in time for dinner.

ds has music and 2 sports. Music maybe can schedule on sat, but the sports trainings are in the evenings/nights. :? so must stop the sports during boarding?

CCAB is CCA Branch. It is under MOE, so school will allow.

Is NJC academic teaches in fast pace? What happen if a child cannot cope with the fast pace academic? How will the school help that child? Will they request the child to transfer out to other school?

Do NJC has exam? I understand they are calculated in GPA. How the GPA work? 😛

GPA = grade point average. Each graded subject has a numerical value attached to the grade. So gpa is calculated by getting the average of all the grade points of the subjects. This is the layman explanation.

                  See http://www.njc.edu.sg/jh/downloads/JH3_&_JH4_Academic_Programme_Booklet.pdf for calculations.

                      Hi,

Any parents in Woodlands have kids in NJC?

Can share what is the transport mode? My girl insists to go NJC
but I feel its too far from Woodlands.

Any school transport available? Kindly advise.

                      Thanks.
