Hi I can read


When I came to know about change I really felt like crying as my son is very close with teacher Kara in civic centre. Really cannot able to make any decision whether to go with teacher or ICR. will you be able to bring back the same teachers.

We never received any letter or email from both the management so annoyed and pissed off when I went today for the class, met the teacher and spoke to her about the new programme she said the programme is more towards Singapore children, the explanation she gave me is no point of teaching children who cannot relate things like daisy and snow which they won’t be able see here and feel about it. Anyway we are going for intro section this Saturday evening. When I told my son that I might change the centre and teacher he started crying. I also feel the same too.

Dear all,


Couldn’t make it to class this Friday with teacher heather. Went yesterday instead for replacement class with another teacher. For parkway branch, as far as I notice all teachers remain the same. Front desk also the same. Class resume as usual. From what I see things, new logo and new curriculum. After my girl finish the class, she look happy and told me she look the new books. Manage Spoke to the teacher about the programme and what’s going on, she explained to me and say they are now totally different entity. No relationship with ICR. I ask if she will be transfer to the new centre. She told me no as their employment is with the current company. And also what’s the difference with both programe… Saw the reading class workbook and look very structure. Was there with my fren that is attending teacher Aaron class. He was explaining, the reading book kids friendly n help children to understand the story. Dunno about the other branches but what I know parkway team still stay. I’m going to teacher briefing this Sunday. Update you all again.

its seems like we are all having new teachers and new environment for affected centres, just hope we do not make things worse by having new classmates.

No changes for parkway centre. Same environment and same teachers. But still wan to know more about the programme. Classmate should remain the same. Saw many student came for class on Wednesday.

The new centre also going to be the franchise of I can read. Will they be able to provide the same teachers. If the teachers are going remain to the same centre I hope we will remain to the same centre as English is going to be the same it always matters with teacher who is teaching it. So far find excellent progress in my child’s reading skills. He was talking about colorful animals like peacock spider, macaw and were they live and about their habitats. All these general knowledge is not in the programs this all the extra work of teachers. His accent also changed a lot. Need to accept this. Also the new ICR is too far for us.

Hi, I have signed up my girl for TCS at Kovan branch. Any reviews to share for Teacher Pauline ? Thanks in advance !!

My little nephew who is 3 years old is there. He shared that he likes Teacher Pauline. Given his slow to warm up attitude, Teacher Pauline could relate well to children. I have not seen his ICR Teacher Pauline before but I have seen the file and pathetic worksheets. I say it is not worth the money. Told my sister to teach her son by herself but she is clueless about ICR behind the door story with LCentral till I told her. Well, just have to keep reinforcing the phonics concept with the child at home.

Can share the story as I m clueless too, if not allowed to post here, pls PM me thanks ! Is your nephew still continuing with ICR ?

So far my girl every week looking forward to go ICR and having a good progress there. To me teaching own kid at home unless parent themselves are discipline and technique must be right.
