For my nephew, he had gone through 8 years of counselling. He still shows signs of such though less frequent. He told us many of his peers are like that. Perhaps his 'many' means a couple only and young kids are easily influenced by one another so it appears to be many. We are very accommodating as we know his condition is beyond his control. He could be easily misunderstood and reprimanded by others. Poor boy. Thats why my heart goes to 'you know who'.notredame:
One is a prefectionist so she likes to correct groups' projects to perfection disregaring friends' annoyance; another couldn't get along with classmates in a top secondary school and transferred to another top school, and another is my nephew
R these children receiving some forms of professional counselling? Hubby keeps saying we need to find someone to talk to ah boy.
The other 2 did not. I suppose many kids from all streams do have this behavioural traits too and as they mature and show improvements over time, parents are generally not too concerned. -

Counselling need not be only by professionals. I have an Asperger's daughter, and we do everything ourselves on an on-going basis. We started when she was very little, before we knew that she had Asperger's, and we considered it just part of our parental 'job'. Since all these traits (social, organisational etc) are on a continuum, it's not always clear what falls on which side of the line for purposes of diagnosis. What's more important is to deal with issues as and when they crop up, and it doesn't matter as much whether it's handled by the parents, a trusted friend or a professional as long as there is some help provided.notredame:

Will such Maths qn be tested?
Three friends, Ann, Bobby and Carl started walking at the same time from the same starting point round a circular track.
Carl walked in the clockwise direction.
Ann and Bobby walked in the anticlockwise diection.
Carl took 7 mins to complete each round. He met Ann after every 3 mins. He met Bobby after every 2 mins.
The three friends maintain their respective speeds throughout their walk.
(a) Find the ratio of Ann’s speed to Bobby’s speed
(b) When Carl and Ann met again at the starting point after 42 mins, Bobby had completed 3 km. Find the circumference of the circular track in metres
Devise a way to check your answer -
Paper 1 easy… as told by ds… lets wait for paper 2… hope and pray its easy…

I dunno whether gender and not being in a Singapore school make a difference in your case.
It just seems like we are still not doing enough and maybe to hear from a professional will make the process easier? -
