Hi parents,

Im a new ksp and wish to know more about Anderson from our experience parents.
Im considering choosing Anderson as our first choice of sec sch for admission in 2014.

If my daughter transfer there at Sec 2, will she have problem making friends? She is rather shy

Is she in Sec 1?I am currently studying in Anderson Secondary School and I am in Sec 1 Express.I feel that majority of my peers are pretty friendly.Maybe asking her to set up a Youtube Channel might boost her confidence.:)

I have P5 DS and will be preparing for next year PSLE; As we stay in Yishun, anderson and chs are preferred choices in range of 24x-25x.


Though I prefer CHS, my kid does not like being in missionary schools and so anderson is his priority since he will be the one to study.

Anderson thread is rather quiet n so far I noticed that usually from other threads neighbourhood schools do not really attract much attention n discussion.

I didn't know about Anderson until i heard from another mum i met during dd's audition. We chatted casually about dsa schools while waiting anxiously for the kids to be done.

Since then, it has been on our radar screen for ds next year as logistically it is viable. Anderson has a cca which ds could potentially dsa to. But yes i think it would be nice to hear more about the school from existing parents/ students. Know nothing much except the fairly high COP.

To me anderson is a top school but feeling is around that location boys will choose chs or ri while girls prefer same sex school like stnics ; for coed there nanch at senkang with only express stream.

Surprised to read from moe website that anderson was ranked top 5 at its peak and way ahead of chs during 1990s… What a terrific feat but somehow chs has indeed catches up quite strong n now offer ip program; hope anderson can rebound and achieve that glory back!!!

If anderson is to offer only express stream, it would surely spur more interest and attraction to high achievers too; it has the capability to compete with top popular schools around that area.

What time must the students reach school? I’m trying to guage the travelling times by bus from home to Anderson Secondary.
