Hi, there is an open house this coming October, it’s sort of a school tour. I intend to sign up for my ds who is now in P5. Their registration did not indicate which level so I had call up the school to find out and they said its mostly for the P6 student.


I’m not sure if its advisable to go or wait for next year. May I know any parents still sign up for their child who is in P5 as I really like my ds and even me to know more abt this sch to prepare him for next year. Thanks.

You can go in p5 to get an idea of the school. Next year the tour will be in April and you might not find time to go with SA1 coming.

Personally I like to but DS will have exam in following week n he want to focus study at first; so he say open house visit can come later.

This is a very good school with caring teachers. They are very helpfully and monitor the progress on the child. My son in yr one and boarding now, he enjoys it :imcool: so much and learn how to take care of himself. Better try DSA as you never know how the corhort will do to determine our child T-score. My friend’s daughter visited the school in P5 and like it so much that she set her goal, put in effort and do well to get in. If your child has any leadership quality is also a plus point in his/her DSA.

Unfortunately DS does not attain any leadership role; anyway in worse case, put resources onto psle result to enter.

Btw one thing I like about njc is their academic programme in website can be found n well detailed n able to know subjects better; unable to get such info from other ip schools. A positive move

With ri n hci secure top 2 pole positions, njc has to be competitive against Vjc, tjc while dhs n rvs catching up the ranks. Next to watch is chs-snic-scgs ip n with their calibre, it will be strong fight for top 5.

You should start the school tours in P5, since you'll find that many of the top school's tour dates clash directly with each other (don't think NJC is one of them). E.g. HCl's tour tend to clash with RI. Also you'll still have time to motivate your child to get into their dream school.
