For Oct 3, must non-HMT pupils go to school? Or must they stay at home for that day since PSLE is still on?

😂 ah boy thinks it is a challenge to not make careless mistakes. He willingly let me cane him. Hmm, a ruler tap on the palm considered cane or not ah 😉

😓 I think that is ok lah. I thought it's the violent :spank:
        Otherwise it's poor ah boy.
Talking about the ngl2010 post: 3 strokes for 99%, I think that's why MOE needs to take more urgent action to slow down the competitiveness so that our society will be a more graceful and humane one.

Highly likely. DS's classmate got 3 strokes of cane when he scored 99% in one Maths exam because of careless mistake. With the paper so easy now, maybe he'll get 5 strokes of cane :nailbite:

So abusive. This is not right. Such parent needs to go for psychological assessment, IMO. :siao:
Sometimes I wonder if some parents love themselves more and their kids are simply tools to satisfy their unfulfilled ambition.

His 2 older siblings were the highest scorers in school and got into RI. This one definitely will get into RI too. The teachers knew about the canning but they couldn't do anything. Canning is still legal here.

....the reason why I did not go to the thread on Answer discussion: ignorance is a bliss, no nagging will b triggered.

My reason is very ah-Q. I can continue to dream that my dc has scored 100%. That will keep me happy until the d-day. It may really materialise too.

Just my 2cents on all this. Basically, it could work both ways… for those kids who do well normally…an easy paper is…ok a bit of a let down,… but what about the not so bright kids…gives them an opportunity to feel good too…fair enough.

What on earth is MOE supposed to do…human beings are hard to please…hmm.

But suffice to say, just as some of the parents have remarked…kid says have done well…expect A* and turns up with a High B or A…cannot judge until marks are out. No point in keeping expectations too high. Just need to be satisfied that your child has done well for all the effort put it. Encourage them as they have many more years of studying to do…

Cheers…and good luck to all for MT and Science…

So sad. There is misery behind the 'glamour'. Life can be easier if we learn to let go. It doesn't mean our kids will fail in life if they don't make it to XX and life may not necessarily be successful even if they made it to XX.

Haha...think we are talking about different things. You probably are referring to sec Sch, I'm referring to primary Sch as 25hr mama is referring to higher *subject* in Pri. 😄
Talking abt pri sch...kids who would be better in humanity subjects will find it even more difficult to get into the better schools if they gonna put even more emphasis in those two subjects in pri school

Anyway the whole Singapore is saying that Maths is soooo easy and so the really affected will be the Top students of Maths. Their T Score for Maths will go down because the mean mark of Co hort will go up like anything. So i really pity & anyway all the best for the rest of the exams…

If not taking HCL, stay at home on 2oct. 3oct is children’s day celebration. 4oct is children’s day so no school
