Tells you a lot about them...i prefer an agency who can listen to me,and see if they can help. but one thing for sure..the type of maids you can get in the 90s are so different from the maid nowadays.

Its not employer choose maid, but rather maid choose employer. by the way how is your friend who lost her baby ?

      They should blacklist the maid.
Ohh yes tell me about same s**t different day. I rang up a random agency earlier & they had a few indon maids... with expected salary ranging $500-600 inclusive of 4days off & \"also off days on public holiday\" :rotflmao: OMG... Now that is something really new to me.

My friend is much better now. Thank god. God's blessing has been with her that why she kept her for so long... i would have kicked out the maid, if I happen to be the employer.

I'm glad that my recommendation of A.Pratama has helped a few others. 😄 For the rest, yes, Desmond can sound abit rude upfront. I had the same reply from him as well and honestly, I almost did not go down to meet him for the 1st appt. My husband said that there was no harm so we went down to talk to them and found out that he was a really nice man.

I did state before that he only deals with ex-SIN maids so you have to have been mentally prepared before calling him. Also, his agency fees are really reasonable. He tells you upfront what you are paying for as opposed to others who will either quote really high prices and lump everything all in or quote really low prices and make the maids work off the loan over 8mths.

I've introduced a few friends to him as well and they are also very happy with his service. I did also say that they are very pro-maids rights so do please be warned before you call. If you're not ok with off days etc, don't waste your time as this is not the agency for you.

Thanks dianeingrid for your recommendation. I will consider going to Desmond for a new maid.

Anyone using maid from Dans Services?
I am looking for a new maid and wants to do a few comparisons first.

                hey people, question!!

What’s "Settling In Program Fee", when you hire a fresh maid? Many agencies are charging $75 as per MOM standards, but this particular agency charging $150, also agency fee is $988. Apparently, $150 includes transportation, so whats the agency for?? Any idea why so? Aiyo… why like that la??

                        Hi,

I have paid agency fee of $488 to get a new maid over the weekend but now my current maid has just told me that she wish to renew her contract with us. There is no refund from this agency, would like to check if anyone happen to be looking for a maid, I can transfer the paid amount to you at a discount. Please pm me for further details.
                        Thanks!!
