If a candidate get U grade for MT/Science, Is it an auto-fail?

How is this possible? If average students meet the COP of top schools wouldn't it mean the top students also qualify for the top schools? So in this case if both apply to the top schools who do you think the system will decide which student is going to top school?
EthanEthan:
So those avg students will have fair chance n competition for top schools; once high achievers too confident n made some careless, bump n down it goes. So better make sure no unforgivable n careless mistakes n avoid at all costs!!!
I guess that is the govt way of ensuring average students have a chance to the top schools and that top students are distributed to neighborhood schools
It's all depend on the T score ... If u look at the past 4 yrs of the Sch.. It hover+-2 of the COP.. No matter hard or easy yr... -

Just relax and do you \"exercise \" for the last 2 time of the year.. When u think back next year.. U must be able to tell yourself that I hv done my best.. The rest no need to care nowReally worried that I might get U grade for MT or Science..

Sspitfire, try your best and think positively, i.e. you will pass all the subjects and do even better than you have expected. I wish you success.

:hugs:My DD does not aim for top school and her only strength is Maths. She cant write a good composition as others as she is not so creative and her oral is poor because she seldom speak most of the time.
Now i need to lower down her expectation and put my finger cross if the result is worse than i thought.
I am not able to sleep well for the past two days. I know i should put it aside but cant.
Same situation for Math, her best subject.
What to do, nobody expects this.
We just move on. Whichever school our dd goes, it will be another beginning.
Primary school is behind them. -

No worries. I am just directing at one particular user here only. There are many endearing parents of top pupils here like 25hr mama, zeemimi, etc..
I think parents of top students are pretty 'switched-off', actually.. They won't waste their time & energy worrying about what you've mentioned..notredame:
Could it be the reverse: parents of top pupils do not want the average pupils to be near their kids results...you get the impact right?
Waiting to be flamed.... :imdrowning:
As for the top students, i believe they always look at what's in front of them.. They are least bothered by what's behind them..
