Can anyone advise when is a good time to go on a short 4-5days hol? Assuming 21 or 22 nov is psle results release, then we are given a week to choose sec schools, when is the schools posting? Can we plan the hol in early Dec?

my son was eagerly anticipating FREE days after psle...but he was so lost when it finally ended...he kept asking, 'what should i do now?'

he offered to clean up his room...and we had a good time doing so. we took a few big bags, took out all his books/notes and went through everything. then at night, he coached younger sister when i was stressed.
it's so nice of your DS to initiate... šŸ˜„

somewhere nearby...but with typhoon, really hard to decide where is safe to go...otherwise can consider hong kong, Bangkok.

base on past years calendar, psle result should be released on the lst Thursday of year end holiday i.e 21 nov. and posting result should be either 17 or 18 dec and reporting to secondary sch will be the very next day. so it is safe to go holiday in early dec. šŸ˜„

it's the buying of books/uniforms which is close to year end.
sec 1 will be about adjustment to new (and more) work load, longer school hours, new school rules and environment.
when son started sec 1 in jan, he told me the difference between primary and sec school teachers. they are treated as adults while growing up into teenagers. first 3-4 months were spent adjusting to more homework (some schools) and learning new stuff/subjects.
