Same same, main purpose was google info/words etc relating to sch work, esp sci & eng. They used to whatsapp me with pictures of their sch work if they had any questions. We disallowed games apps during school term. They got used to not having games and are not hooked to their phones even though they hold it throughout the day.

Yours in primary school? Sorry I didn't clarify that mine got hers only in S1.

Yes, both my girls into minecraft but they only play during weekends n can't be whole day.

Yeah they in pri sch... They only happened to inherit dh & my iphone 4 when we changed phones, and to iphone 5 when the contract was up and iphone 5 was offered on a very low price by dh company...

My kids inherited iPhone 4 when hubby and I upgraded to the 5.
They do not have data roam, so can only whatsapp at home. But my son has wi-fi in school on the first floor only. His teacher uses Facebook to update them on any school event, or homework. I warned them to use the mobile sparingly. Once they exceed call out limit or engrossed in it, I will confiscate.

If you all remember, I confiscated DS phone 2 months back. He's over the moon today when he returned home to find it fully charged.

DS finds today's hcl ok. 20min to check, he said. I looked at him, incredulous. He's weak in Chinese, always marginal pass for HCL. And yet didn't want to study much for it, and also didn't want to drop it. I :xedfingers: for a pass

You all have very good DC who efficiently packed up the books. Mine hasn't started and yet created another mess with computer and gadgets. :faint:

Dh told ds last night, \"mommy is bringing you to popular this weekend to get some sec 1 assessment books\" :evil: . My ds was : mom, it's a joke, right? the look on his face was really priceless. Anyway, sure glad that the whole thing is over and now the waiting game begins.....

We were at Popular after the HMT paper. After he picked up what he wanted to buy, I showed him a Maths assessment book. He read from page 1 to x page, then he asked me to buy it.

I feel it's ok to start too. Three months of not studying, the brain will nuah. I have worked out a program list with DS prior to exams. Includes study as well, just to keep his engine warm.

Will not totally let their minds rot over the holidays. Math tutor will prep him for sec 1 math for an hour a week for 4 weeks. I have requested the other weeks to have no tuition. May do the same for chinese.

Best wishes n great job for psle over; now next will be which school to aim for; with your children’s gut feelings on the exam, they might have some idea how far they can aim for…
