All About Full-Time Maids
-
Having same story as all the friend out there, I thought I am alone sailing in this boat but found in this forum many more, since the maid is new wife is expected to train her and teach her everything (almost made me feel like having an additional kid on top of 3 kids)
The super duper maid talks back , argues on the pregnant wife .when asked not to put earphones and listen music and chatting with friends whole day while working goes to extent of smashing wife's I-phone with wooden stick dh keeps amazingly quiet. Which gives more liberty to maid who some more can tell wife that \"madam it was your fault that you left the phone on dining table\" :frustrated:
dh who usually pinpoints every mistake anyone makes in house and gets frustrated even if his hp is misplaced for few seconds still thinks to give her a chance , not want to get involved between wife and maid as his friends advice to stay away and let wife handle these ladies matter . Lastly the maid exits after the issue and handed over to police , that also done by wife
so if you have family back up or support you can go on to hire full time trouble -
Can anyone tell me if the health check which maids have to go through before the employer picks them up include a pregnancy test? Please advice.
I noticed my helper vomitting once last week and once just now. I hope she is not pregnant. -

Hi, not sure if this has been asked before (I suspect so, but there’s 800+ pages to sieve through so pls pardon me for taking the short cut to ask again instead of browsing through all the pages).
Is it possible for a Singaporean who is working, to employ a full-time maid to stay with and take care of his/her elderly parent? This elderly parent is not staying in the same address as the Singaporean child, has no income, and needs someone to take care of her everyday, ranging from assistance with walking, toileting, bathing, and also to cook and wash and clean up the house.
I know MOM policy is the maid must only be working for the employer, but if the elderly parent is staying alone and needs care, and cannot employ one herself - can’t her children employ on her behalf?
tks… -

The answer, I thot u just got your maid?! Don’t think she is pregnant, maybe she has stomach flu. That can cause vomiting.
If she just join your household, quite unlikely she is pregnant unless she is a transfer maid. Now come to think of it, how can we prevent this? If we ask them to take pill also not right, "Ren quan". I think we can only remind our maid to be more careful. -

Maybe she experiencing sympathetic pregnancy cos you are preggie.
If she is still vomiting and you really suspect, get her to pee in a cup then do the pregnancy test in your presence. -

Haha.. She has 3 boys already. Eldest is 14 while youngest is 4. I just got her the SIM card yesterday after she worked for 2 weeks. Fast learner. So far I'm quite satisfied
