Hi Everyone,


So there are a lot of post-exam activities lately, but our EOY results haven't been released at all and we are expected to send in our subject combination choices on 16 Oct/17 Oct - which is very strange because we do not even know if we qualify in the first place.

Is this like a \"tradition\" of CHS? When will our results be released?

Are u playing water football and dodgeball too? My ds told me result out on 24 oct, 2 days after school close on 22nd....

Are u playing water football and dodgeball too? My ds told me result out on 24 oct, 2 days after school close on 22nd....

This is strange... So we will have to blindly pick our choices without knowing if we qualify or not(?) and how will be the results on 24 Oct be released?

LOL The post-exam activities were actually launched at 3pm - I logged in at 3.50pm and almost everything else was booked besides Chanbara (last slot; lucky me!), Kangoo Jumping and High Elements.

According to my friends, within 1 or 2 minutes water soccer and dodgeball were already booked out.

Actually you should have an idea of your strength and weakness already, just go with your interest ...

I must agree that this arrangement is kind of strange.
For my dd's school, a prelim subject combination choice is first submitted by each S2 pupil so sch can compile and list out the more popular choices as the school's subject combi for the following year.
A few days after the eoy results are released, parents are invited, in the evening, to attend the subj combi briefing.
The FT will release to parents a summary of their dds' S2 overall results together with the cohort's mean result for each subject, the percentile of pupils obtaining A1 to F9 (if any) for each subject, and the minimum requirements for each subj combi.
Parents & pupils can do some mental computations to gauge the chances of getting into their 1st choice or change their plans. The FT will also be around to provide assistance & advice to parents & pupils about their choices.
A few days will be given before the pupils submit their applications for the subj combi, which is before the sch holidays.

We got our results back today though. Not 24 Oct; I was initially thinking how weird it was. But anyway, thank you :salute:

saw the school decked out in banners cheering the Sec 4s on for O levels…nice!
