Hi Forever J,
Thx so much for info. Sign up for Nanyang because of the 100% Chinese Curriculum for kids from 3-4 yrs old. Was hoping to give my child the envt to speak good Mandarin.
Shall check out Raffles House Preschool’s envt. thx for tip.

hi izu
where do u stay? likely near bukit timah since u chose turf city? anyway, i know someone from nanyang kindy. the parent say the chinese is excellent. her dd really forced to open mouth and speak mandarin, haha. basically she is full of praises although she continue to let the dd attend the montessori school she used to be from - for enrichment.
heard raffles preschool is not bad too. u may want to check it out. they even have jap classes for the kids. if u r unsure, should recce a few places b4 deciding on whether u want to continue to put your bb in the current place. sorry i have not heard any comments on your current school so unable to provide any feedback on that.[/quote] -
Hi Mummies,
My kids are in Arise Kindergarten…son has graduated in 2006, daughter in K2 this year.
The school is clean, principal has maintained the standard and all teachers have a diploma in pre-school teaching. My daughter’s Chinese teacher is also particular about the way characters are written correctly, which is very impt at this level. I can afford to be a little laid-back with her although my hubby & I do coach her a little more in her subjects. We do not send her to any enrichment classes. -
Hi Buds/ Insider or any mummies out there,
can share with me the curriculum of:
Pat schoolhouse
Brighton
I am choosing a cc for my K1 gal. heard that brighton is very academic and Pat is not so. i visited the 2 centres and somehow i am "sold off" by Pat’s. -
hi insider and all others,
not sure if this is the right place to post my query.
i am looking for childcare for my girl who is approaching 18 months. Would like some advice here…she is not toilet trained and still cannot take solids well.
She is currently with her nanny. Have also sent her to Little neuro tree but she does not show as much interest compared to the other kids.
She is also very active and likes to attempt to do things on her own…not much patience. i am wondering what type of preschool is more suitable for her …e.g. full day, montessori.
Thanks. -
Need help. I stay in the east and want to enroll my son into a preschool.
I saw
Eton Schoolhouse in Mt Batten
Julia Gabriel in Big Splash
Mindchamps Preschool in Katong (East Coast rd)
Shaw Preschool
Which ones should I choose? why are they good or bad? parents do give suggestions…
I have been hearing good things abt Mindchamps Preschool like they are up and coming and have more scientific backing… I am not sure but would like to hear parents real experience with the schools I mentioned so that new mummy can choose a good preschool for my son.
Plssss help me… -
hi…
very informative thread indeed! thanks!
anyone has comments about little treehouse curriculum? could u pls share… -
Hi there,
Can anyone recommend some good Kindergardens and CC in Bukit Merah, Telok Blangah area? My girl is in a PCF K1 now, I am exploring changing her to another school becos it’s a not convenience for us to pick her up everyday and there are no school bus that we can arrange for her from the school.
I also realise the curriculum seems to be pretty elementry, my girl can count to 100 now but the school is only teaching her to count to 20 on 2nd term of K1, it this normal?
Thanks

How early u need to register depends on the popularity of the school. Some school are full very early. So need as early as 9-12 months pre-registration. -
Hi XK,
Which are the schools which need very early registration?
