my DD is still telling me she would like teacher to give her more homework. :siao:

so i gave her myself... pull mode... whenever she wants... i told her it's buffet style...
So nice...buffet style...just choose what they want! I always wanted the sch to give more homework so that the children won't be loitering around at home and doing nothing. Both ds and dd fell sick this week, so didn't push them much. Just :xedfingers: and pray hard!!!

If I put buffet style, my DD will be the happiest, she will choose the easiest and her favourite English :rahrah: the rest of the subjects will be in the freezer cold turkey

Precisely. My DD does not want to do Maths. If there is no choice, she will try to do the (Maths) topic that she already knows well:( For English and Science, she is free and easy although she does not like the topic HEAT. Tomorrow is the session for revising Heat and Materials. Hope she concentrates well. Sigh. Can't wait for next Thursday. All the exams will be over.

            Hi HAPPYH,
How do you revise Science? The textbook content is so limited.

My ds will dream away, toy around stationery, talk to himself when I want to revise with him on spelling. I gave up coaching him with his such learning attitude. Really envy you guys dc take the revision or learning seriously. Any tips to \"turnarond\" my ds? 🤷

Then do the top school exam papers. We will zoom in the area where she does mistakes rather than going thro' all the topics as there is a lot.

                  Hi HAPPYH,

I am a bit blur here, what’s the meaning of "Mind Map". Is it something to do with the memorising of the concepts.

                  Not sure pls enlighten me

Hmm....I don't know what exactly it is called; It is like the flow chart you can see at the end of each chapter in Science textbook. It summarises all the concepts. Easier to remember as lesser words. As they knew the concepts (they should have studied by this time), they can use this map to revise. It wont take much time. If it is still not clear, I go home and tell you the page numbers in the textbook. You can have the idea.

                      Hi

I called my DD. She said it is written as thematic concept map. For example, Page 17 and Last page in the systems textbook. In one glance, you can see the summary.

:thankyou: now I understand. It's concept map. The school does not give much material for science, thus she is attending mind stretcher. Today was her last lesson, she will not be continuing for P5.
Hopefully she could manage on her own next year :xedfingers:
