Some staff feedback management seem a bit strict, which I feel maybe good or bad.

Good = I know my kids are in good hand.
Bad = Staff not happy will they really spent effort on my kids?

Of course I want to see good result in my kids but of course not to stress them too much purely basing on academic to judge the kid.

I belive a well being soul is more important then any other issue. 🙂
so relieved 😓 I actually prefer a strict principle than a sloppy one. :rahrah:

If nothing can be done to redesign the PE attire. Hopefully the school can consider to bring forward the introduction of school uniform.. 😃 Perhaps allow student/parents to vote from a few choices. Like how HDB/town council consults residents on the paint color. 😃

        Hi pixelbee,

Not to worry, the school has plans to engage parents & pupils in the design of the school uniform as there’ll be time to do so then.
Because taste varies, it’s not possible to accede to everyone’s request. :imanangel:

In fact, we’ve already received word from some parents that they like the PE attire. :imcool:
Nonetheless, we’ll continue to engage our parents in school matters as much as possible. 😄

          Dear Miaor & LFC4ever,

Thank you for your vote of confidence in our principal and her team.

Mrs Jacinta Lim has been known to have successfully led her current school, Yangzheng Primary, to a high level of excellence so much so that every year, Yangzheng is a highly sought after school in the Serangoon area. The school offers a balanced holistic education and pupils have enjoyed going to school, their second home.

At the same time, Mrs Lim is also known for her high standards of her staff but yet has been able to skilfully create a very happy & caring work environment for her staff. She strongly believes in handpicking her team of committed and dedicated teachers and has done so over the years at Yangzheng. The same has been done for West Spring Primary as well, where a very strong team of teachers has been selected already. She is very well-liked by her current staff for whom she ensures have good work-life harmony. The school is one of 4 schools in Singapore to be awarded the Worklife Achievement Award by the Ministry of Manpower in 2010 and 2012 (a biennial award given out by MOM). 😄

Will the students have name badges or name tags sewn onto the PE kit?

              Hi tenko,

The pupils will have name tags ironed onto their PE T-shirts. Name tags have to be ordered on the sale of textbooks day and when ready, parents will iron them onto the T-shirts. 😄

For other school, PE attire usually will be in a group of different colour. In this case, does it mean that West Spring will not have "House colour PE"

                  Hi MRZ18,

The different coloured T-shirts are generally meant for the different Houses in the school (House system). As West Spring is just starting out with only 210 P1 pupils next year, the House system will not be introduced yet. 😄
