I say PSLE preparation is worse. My DS feels papers are easy but I he is reserved when anyone asked about his confidence.

This year got how many student less compared to 2012?
It is back to 2011 level. So, actually we could use 2011 COP but the easiness of the papers may cause the COP to go up or go down. Is there any parents here that can explain whether COP will go up or go down? I think the mean will go up and standard deviation will be narrower but what do they mean? Does it mean COP will be higher?ngl2010:
Noticed COP of most top schools increased by about 2 points from year 2011 to 2012.
The increase was due to Dragon year children. 2012 has 33,000 more P6 children. Since the top schools' intake remained constant while the number of children increased, it drove the COP up. -

So many? I thought only 2-3K more?ngl2010:

It is not difficult to check Singaporeโs live birth in year 2001, I think it is not high, I am really curious to read MOEโs announcement of 2013โs PSLE cohort size.

Based on live births of 5,546 less in year 2001, our Golden Snake babies COP this year should be less competitive. :rahrah: Year 2000 was Golden Dragon Millennium Year.

Thanks for all the statistics:) I'm also looking forward to date of PSLE results release as this year papers are unusually easier. Am also counting down to that day but by then, it means the year end holidays almost half gone liao. This is always my favorite part of the year esp after all exams over
I have been happily indulge in my korean dramas just as DS in his games
Yesterday, wanted to find chance to talk to DS abt IP vs O levels but he quickly said he only want to talk abt it in mid Nov. Said he has been waiting for these (gaming) days for 6 years. Hopefully, he doesn't get too carried away and continue to give his best for the next 6 years to come... -

Me too, me too.... But beware.... in HCI thread, gaming is quoted as a factor causing plunging results in secondary school .
