Augmum:
Does it mean that every student will be given 1 subject each to be enriched in? Or is there any criteria to be met to enrich in a particular subject?
For yr 2 streaming, pupils will be allocated accordingly to their subj combi....lervin:
For yr 2 to yr 3 streaming, may i know how will the students be allocated the classes? Besides looking at the subject combinations, will the students be streamed based on their results? Or will they be simply placed randomly into different classes?
What abt the enrichment subjects? Who gets to do what? TIA
Yes, results do play a role in the streaming...
For Enrichments subjects, u have 3 choices ( wonder is there any changes ?)
Again, based on the results of that particular subj u have chosen to enrich.... -
lervin:
U must be good in that subj that u choose to be enriched in...( i mean the grade)

Most of my gal's classmates did get into their choices....
I am not too sure if EVERY students will be given 1 subj each to be enriched in...
As there are classes with half- half combination...eg...half of them doing Geog whilst half of them doing Hist... -

Edit to add...
Oh ...wait a minute...i may have mixed up regarding the 3 choices ...
Cant rmb the 3 choices is for subj streaming choices or subj enrichment choices...
Or ist the sch which decides on the enrichment choices....
Need to check with my gal again....lervin:
Ok Lervin, get back to u on yr questions....Does it mean that every student will be given 1 subject each to be enriched in? Or is there any criteria to be met to enrich in a particular subject?
Have checked with her....
There are 2 choices for choosing of Enrichment subj....( the 3 choices i have mentioned is for subj combi)
Though she is fr one of the Enriched classes...she said no difference in syllabus and tests....
and nobody bothers whether u are fr enriched class or not ...
( she meant no frens would wanna to compare ...
)
However, expectations fr the subj teacher is higher ...
Also, some additional work to be done even same assignments/ projects are given...
And \"NO\" to yr question as not every student will be assigned to subj Enrichment class... -

Hello Piggylalala,PiggyLalala:
Hi augmum,
What is the promotion criteria in year 1 and 2? It is definitely better if the sch adds in another gpa of 3.2 for score between 65 to 70.
TIA
Promo criteria for Yr 1 is GPA 2.0 ...
For Yr 2 is GPA 2.4...
( for 2.4 meaning ave is between B and C)
Oh yes, forget to add ...with a pass in LA...
May I know whether is there anyone retention in Year 1 if they cannot meet the promo criteria? -

Hi
Just found out from my DD that not every student will be offered enrichment classes, only those with GPA of 3.2 and above.
I will also like to know how do they allocate students to the various classes. When will they know the outcome of their choices and what class are they allocated to? Any parents of year 2 students can share? -

Posting results will be out 17 Nov. You can refer to the letter brought home by your child. Schedule for the different events eg submission of choices, appeal dates etc are all listed there.
