Hi, my child is entering P1 next yr. Would appreciate if someone can give me the following information:

      1. On PE days, can my child just wear his PE shirt straight to school ( without wearing uniform over it)?

      2. After PE, can he remain in PE shirt or must he
      change to uniform?

      Many thanks!

        hi Pageboy:

Yes, he can wear his PE T-shirt to school, and no need to change after PE.

Thanks Lexis for the information! That means the children hardly wear school uniform, since they have PE 3 times a week!

Yup that was my understanding too so I bought 3 sets of PE and 1 set of PAL Tee + additional shorts on admin day. I think I'll just get another 1 or 2 sets of uniform.

              Hi ,

would like to know if there are any parents in this thread that put their boys at TLC Student Care Center opposite of the school?
May I have some feedbacks on it.

              Thanks

                    Hi,

My son is due for P1 registration nxt yr (2015 intake) and hopefully he can get into MSHS. Appreciate if any mummies can advise on the following:

                    1) Is the school single or double session? What time does school start?
                    Single session. 7.30am.

                    2) Do the boys take Higher Chinese from P1? Is Higher Chinese elective or a compulsory subject in MSHS?
                    Yes, think its compulsory.

Thank you in advance for any kind response.

                    Thank you!

Any parents have any idea if it is necessary to enroll the kid in Chinese enrichment to prep for Higher Chinese?

Hence, he's kinda struggling with his P1 Chinese lesson. So no choice enroll him for tuition, till now, he's still struggling......

IMHO, not necessarily expensive enrichment but some form of tuition or exposure is better if you are a potato family and cannot provide a conducive Chinese environment for the child.

It is actually quite easy to get an A for Chinese at PSLE. >80% of students will get an A or A* for Chinese. That's national average. So dun worry too much.

When your kid enters P1, observe his grades first before deciding. If not hitting your target, then send. In the meantime, make sure he can read English words / instructions by himself and know the Hanyu Pinyin. These you can actually self-teach. But I prefer to send to the experts coz I have no patience.
