Comparing English Enrichment Programmes

Hi
Any parents have comments on Creative Horizon (CH) at Tanglin Shopping Centre vs LP n TAS? -
KiddyLow:
I feel CH is more on enrichment, on getting the children to think creatively and out of the box. LP and TAS more focus on MOE syllabus.Hi

Hi,
I’m caught in a dilemma whether to continue with LCentral or change to learning point. Both branch are at Bukit Timah plaza.
My boy will be p3 next year…
Any advise? -
BigDad:
I agree, CH is more of an enrichment ctr. Based on my observation (ds there since P1), their std is pitched quite high. I consider ds to be quite ok in Eng, but he hardly ever gets 8/10 or above for the weekly worksheets.

For me, one of the the markers of a good ctr is PSLE result; and for this, CH has an excellent record with more than 40% of the students getting A* in PSLE 2012 (sample size abt 40) iirc. -
hi parents,
my girl is P4 this year, going to P5 in 2014. she’s been getting borderline passes for her englist tests and I’m thinking of enrolling her in a tuition centre to improve her grades. i think she’s weak in her composition and needs help in that area the most.
i’ve shortlisted Lorna Whiston and L Central. which would be a better choice for her? if anyone has another tuition centre to advice me pls lmk too! -
torn between sending my kids to british council or to learning lab@rochester…
