I need some advice pls.

I need to register my gal for pri 1 this year and shortlisted a few schs:
1) Paya lebar methodist girls
2) nan chiau
3) north vista

I am aiming to finish my PV in paya lebar methodist girls. but the rest of the sch i have not done any PV.

Now i am hesitating whether to continue my pv in paya lebar cos i stay in seng kang. looking at the distance of the sch, worried that it might be too far a distance for my gal to travel.

but my chances in nan chiau and north vista only falls in phase 2c which seems very small.

what should i do? continue to do pv in paya lebar or totally give it up and try my chances in nan chiau or north vista. which will i have better chance?

best bet is plmgs - the distance is not that far from sengkang. It would be a bit late to change PV, that's assuming that there are slots still left for PV at nan chiau.

just a thot, should i quickly go register myself as a member in the hokkien huay kuan and get myself placed in phase 2b so that my chances to enter the gal be higher?

or it wouldn't help? cos i'm too late to join as a member?

How close are you to Nan Chiau? If it is less than 1km and the number of SHHK members vying for Nan Chiau in August this year is low, you may still be able to get a recommendation fron SHHK.

so what’s your gut feeling? should i continue to do my pv with paya lebar? so just go ahead and pay the membership to hokkien huay guan. what’s my chances?

should i solely bet on nan chiau?

so worried i won’t be able to get in nan chiau then i would end up nothing

Erm, I'm not sure which year you are looking to register. Pls note that hokkien huay kuan only conducts the new member meetings like once/twice a year. So even if you submit now, if the meeting is already past, then you have to wait for next meeting...in all, you may not be able to get that membership prior to registration.

Also, I understand that they start asking parents to fill in the form to get that recommendation letter as early as April. But it is only after Phase 2A2 that they will know how many places in Phase 2B and how many letters they are going to issue.

Looking at it seem PLMGS (Pri) would be the safest bet. Nan Chiau at phase 2B balloting situation would occurs. If yr heart can take it by all means go ahead.

Perhaps you may want to check the past balloting history as a guide to serve as part of evaluation process.

it seems that needs ballet even for within 1km for them ;( (i hope i read wrongly

i believe it could get real nervous hahah

also, i read that north vista also have the same balleting situation.. sign.. now i'm so lost.. which sch to really go?

all 3 schs seem needs balleting. only difference for me is that plmgs - i was given a chance to do pv. of all 3, plmgs may seem to be the better chance to go in now cos of the pv. but i'm not within 1km or 2km, hence worried i may not get in if it needs balloting.
