      ningy:
I never buy the 2 optional books (my first picture dictionary and revised primary english introductory A) . Did anyone buy the chinese language/higher chinese for pri schools character cards 1A and 1B ? Are these mandatory ?

I bought the character cards 1A and 1B. Thought it is mandatory but I gues you can buy it later at popular or school bookshop if really needed since so far they havent use it yet.

The 2 optional books are not necessary to buy. It serves as enhancement to individual. As for the character cards, it all depends on the teachers whether they will use that to teach at the later term. Now, the focus is on hanyu pinyin.

My dd in 1/4. Went to lib yesterday (wed). Before she went, i told her not to borrow too many books so it wont make her bag too heavy. But her teacher told her to borrow 6, so she carried the whole big load home.

Blurbee, is your dd in 1/3 or 1/4?

And another thing - are they doing some kind of assessment? DD says she’s been asked to sit in a different position in class and doing some "simple work" by another teacher, 2 days in a row already.

How come we are not told? And what is the purpose? And why the need to shift seats to sit for this test? So wierd.

Is this Show and Tell important?
