How to spend the p6 year end holidays
-
Find a hobby, learn a craft, learn an instrument.
Volunteer for a community service project.
Read a lot.
Watch a series of videos as a family activity, something long like Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter etc. Read the books as well.
Get some board games (the strategy type for older kids and adults, not snakes and ladders!).
Plan for Christmas - presents, cards, parties etc. - and execute the plans.
My problem at the moment is that my kids (already in sec school) are too busy and we have to wait another couple of weeks for things to be over before we will have time to do any of those things! -
A better tomorrow:
The holidays has started but the parents with p6 children can't seem to relax ! Any suggestions to let both the parent and the child to really relax during the holiday and stop thinking about the results :nailbite: and school choosing :nailbite: etc ?
my daughter just finishd her psle..and now she really enjoys her time and I dont force her to learn or even read the sec 1 books. i really want her to really relax and waiting for result. thats it :imcool: -
Plan a short trip (doesnt have to be overseas) for the family! I know my kids for sure want a break from the books. I don’t bug them to read or study, but i do encourage them to take up an activity which they enjoy. Its good to have a balance, and we parents need a break too

Revival of an old thread?
P6 holidays should be spent preparing for O Level. Only 4 or 5 more years to go! -
Aiyoo, give your child a break!
I have a few links for your guys to use. Give you guys some ideas on what to do during the holidays.
