Next week will be the results day. I hope she will be well enough to go to school
No x-ray eye cannot see beyond her cast leh. Only know losing lotsa muscles & mass from knee & below..... getting skinnier since the cast gets looser. Still gotta wait for another 2weeks b4 next review.ngl2010:
BeContented,
How is your DD? Is she better?
But generally she's ok lah, just whine sometimes about no freedom & play.
thanks.
since that would be the last day the children are together in their primary school.

Today we had the P6 graduation ceremony. All P6 graduands got on the stage to receive their report book and a personalised seal. As principal is moving to a new school next year, it was a rather emotional moment.
I went for the ceremony without feeling a thing but after seeing what some teachers put together (a video that showed the kids in the last 6 years). Yes from 2008 when they were the innocent P1s till now. It does stir that emotion. On top of that with the tribute to principal etc...., it sure left some of us on the verge of tearing.

This is the emo period. 2-4 years down the road, the kids become just acquaintance unless they go to the same school or still meet up frequently.

We took her to Sch today for the prize-giving ceremony. But only met a few classmates as P6s were released a week earlier. We will bring her to Sch to collect her results in cast & clutches next week. But she will still not be able to join her friends to anywhere. -

Actually my dd don't really feel it... yet. Maybe because they still have cca activities till end of the year. The kids have whatsapp, FB nowadays unlike our era where we only have autograph books. So it's easier to keep in touch these days. However I agree that they will just be acquaintance as everyone gets on with their life in their respective secondary school. Must encourage my dc to join their alumni cca so that they will always have something in common and chances to meet up again.
But being a mum, in my alma mater, hearing that school song and seeing my 1st child graduate, I suddenly felt so emo. Maybe I will feel even more with the last child. -

Thanks for sharing your insights
The P may play some part in shaping the school. But it takes time for changes to take effect. And before you know, it's time for a new P. The current P of Nush had great ideas before he became P Of nush. However the ideas could not materialise in the school he was in because of the make of the school culture, students and teachers there. But his vision worked great in nush.
Don't think SAC can be transformed overnight into Nygh. Some food for thought.
I understand that the cutoff for express for SAC stands at 188 for affiliates unlike many other sec schools that specify a much higher cutoff for affiliates. It'll be interesting to see how much value-addedness this new P can bring without raising the bar for affiliates.
Hi BeContented, I haven't been following this thread diligently and so was unaware tt your dd is injured. Wishing her a smooth recovery! -
Weird, my principal didn't say when is the confirmed date but she said \"tentative 22nd to 25th\", looks like she is also not sure when is the date.
Just emailed MOE, hopefully they won't reply something which is totally not the answer that I'm looking for like for example:
It is tentatively at the 22nd to 25th November

I told DD1 about the PSLE result info that I read from this thread and asked her how come no news from her or her school till now.
Then, she suddenly exclaimed…
 Yah! Got! Got! My school had a talk about secondary school selection for all the P6ers and we were informed (forgot who :slapshead:) that it will be released on 22nd Nov so correct correct it's correct what you read on the forum. We're supposed to assemble …. blah blah blaaah…
Me : Why didn't you tell me?
DD1 : Telling you now lah.
Me : That's why! If I didn't casually mention to you abt it, you wouldn't even have remembered! :slapshead:
DD1 : I do remember! I remember they told us about it. Just that I didn't realize I needed to tell you.
