      Dri fit.That’s good to hear.

I like that the p1 classrooms are mainly on 1st and 2nd floor too.
Good to know about the bags.I’m looking for a school bag and realised the ergonomic bags are huge and heavy.

My boys been using ergonomic bags since P1. So far, they did not complain about the weight. Though ergo bags are heavier, good ergo bags should distribute weight evenly and give better support to the back. I find ergonomic bags more lasting. DS1 uses his bag for three years and still in good condition. It will definitely last another year or two :-).

As for trolley bag, the problem is when the children move to P2 when the classrooms are on the second level. It is harder for the young kids to carry the trolley bags up the stair. I think they also assembly at the hall which is on the second floor every Monday. So they have to carry the bags up the stair once a week. That is the main reason I did not get trolley bags for my boys.

May be you can bring your child together when going for bag shopping. May be bring some of the text books along so you can test out the weight as well. Happy shopping :-).

Yeah happy to hear about dri fit too… just that will not be buying these new ones yet as want to fully utilise the current cotton ones…

Also very happy there was no year end class ranking for P1 so no stress… many school still practising top 3 in class prizes…
But I do notice the test paper standard has been raised so no longer the mentality of letting many pupils get full marks.
In fact, all test papers got "standard" and really all schools are good school…

Yes I’m not in favour of trolley bags too.

V heavy. Good to know That standards are higher. Think neighbourhood schools also need to match the others.

The PSLE result will be out tomorrow. All the best to the P6 kids. I hope all of them will pass the exam.

Lately TGPS has seen improvement on PSLE performance. Yes, I think the school standard has improved. Three of the p3 kids were accepted in the GEP program! This is a first in the school history. I am sure with more enthusiastic parents like all of us, the kids and school will be doing better :-).

Yes, Rejoice, agreed that beside the school and kiddos, we parents, also play an important role in making the results. Though not academically, we provide moral support and comfort during the various exams. 😉

Beside the 3 GEP kids, school also mentioned that this was the FIRST year that we have a bumper crop of GEP kiddos - total of 26. The P's message is quite clear that school will tap on these high capabilities kids to ensure that they continued to excel in their higher level of Primary Education.

Having said this, school is also working in area of LSP program for kids whom are weak in certain area. So this means that \"Leave No Kid Behind.\" (sounds familiar...keke. )

Wishing all our 2013 P6-sers BEST OF LUCK! and another wonderful journey ahead... :boogie:

Looks like no official announcement from School, so most of the parents are relying on KSP PSLE updates. 😉

Based on some of the results posting and looks like Minister Heng vision of 'Every School is a Good School' is materializing. Some neighbourhood schools are getting same high scores the tops schools in the same zone, from the unofficial community postings.

That’s cos of moderation. Math paper I heard was v easy.

On the PSLE results thread, TGPS is one of the few schools whose to score has not been divulged.
