Hi, does anyone know if there will be school bus arrangement for nygh students? Or they only rely on public transport?

      Hi joyfulmom

Dd also gg to NYGH next year. I called the school and they told me they do not have a contracted bus vendor, however not to worry, the bus vendor will be there during the school registration day. My dd is also gg to take school bus to school next yr.

Hi, may I know if my dd takes public bus to school using Dunearn Road, which bus stop should she alight? Should she enter using the front entrance or the side door? which is nearer? Is the traffic heavy from 7am to 7.30am and 8am to 8.30am? TIA.

4.Any news on the o level class in nanyang? And lastly what is the minimum grade to stay in the integrated program?
Sec 1 to 3 - promotion criteria is MSG of 4 or better & passed in both lang
Sec 4 - promotion criteria is MSG of 3 or better & passed in both lang
This is valid for this year, could change next year.
Hi, my dd is considering NYGH as one of her choices. May I ask
          1. What are the subjects used to calculate the MSG? Is HMT included? I asked bcos my dd doesn't hv a distinction in HMT although she scored an A* in MT. I am very afraid she can't cope with the HMT level in NY.
          2. Does one hv to score well for a subject in order to offer it at Upp Sec? E.g. if a child gets borderline results for Biology, can she still offer it at Yr 3 and 4?
          Thank you.

Thanks gancheongmommy. My girl will be going nygh next year too. šŸ˜„

Good to know that the schoolbus vendor will be there during registration day. Will definitely check it out. I heard that most schoolbus vendor only do the 'to' trip but not the 'return' trip for sec sch cos most students will not go home at same time, not sure that will be the case for bus vendor for nygh too.

              Hi comfy,
The bus stop to alight would be the one in front of NYGH which is also known as the NJC bus stop.
There is a gate entrance right at the bus stop where the over head bridge is located. The main entrance will be further away but you may need to enter through it when the side gate at the bus stop is not open during the holidays.
              Hope this clarifies.
              Btw, the OHB is sheltered.
              Cheers.

                Hi,
                1. Yes, u need to pass HMT and Lang art ( combi of English Lang and literature) for fulfilling the promotion criteria.
And YES, HMT is One of the subject for calculating MSG.
NYGH is SAP school and the bilingual environment is helpful if also enjoy and have passion to know more about the Chinese language and culture.
                2. If the subject in question affects the overall MSG then unlikely u will take it up in year 3.
                Cheers.

From what I understand is , to let the weaker students to do the O level if they are not up to the mark, rather than to let them transfer out of the school.
