Got to check also that the milk has been pasteurised. Errr... is this generally so for the fresh milk in Japan? How to tell ... usually written in Japanese, right? And what is the term for pasteurised in Japanese? :?

I absolutely agree with Tankee about travelling with young kids to countries that are safe and hygienic.

The other challenge is the lingo. May be a problem if the child falls ill, and you can't communicate with the people there.

That's why I am now reconsidering travelling to Japan. Satisfies the first two criteria, but not the third.

          I only know 3 Japanese words, \"Sumimasen\", \"Arigato Gozaimasu\" and \"Takuya Kimura\".

don't know their secret .... we compared with fresh milk from Australia, NZ and Hokkiado, loved the hokkiado the best.
