Begin of the month my girl (3yr 4 months old) to Brighton Mont @ fort road she went there for a week trial class for nursery class, on the fourth day the admin staff told me the principle can't enroll in my girl because she's always playing their Montessori material during normal session, she's don't really communicate with the teacher and keep walking around the class.. \"its too much for the teacher to keep eyes on her' ... so i should look a small class basic school or even 1 to 1 teacher so that the teacher can pay attention on her. I was very upset and angry to hear this very irresponsible reason to reject my girl. The truth is their teacher and principle is not caring, patient, professional in handling kids. Now i send her to kinderland and everything its very good no regret her teacher is very patient and experience there's not negative feedback about my girl.
Hope your girl is doing ok at kinderland. -

Any one here have kids in Etonhouse Mountbatten?
-
AuntieM, my kid just enrolled in Charis Montessori, not in Eton Mountbatten but it was one of the schools I went, chatted with Principal and walked thruβ. 70% expats (so are teachers) hence very high school fees. Principal or the Head is superb, very sweet and nice. They all look like having fun. I just think that itβs not super outstanding to justify the very very high fees. But itβs huge (well, how often they go outdoors?) but classrooms are typical sized.

Thanks for reply surfermom
When this sweet lady took over in 2007.... teachers were calling us parents and encouraging us to complain and help them voice their displeasure....
Costs cutting measures were 'xiong'. Others school use playdoh, their teachers report early in the morning to knead with flour and colourings. Sercurity were asked to help out with kids in the afternoons, and kitchen
even.
When my son fell down she was only interested in telling me my boy should have listened and not run, my son's fault.....
My son's teacher who was quitting soon called me to take him to the doctor. She told me the cleaning lady had mopped the floor when the boys went to the toilet , and my boy slipped and fell ,hitting back of head.
Thankfully, son was ok. I knew who was lying when I met the cleaning lady who really looked worried. I did not pursue the matter cause son was ok and I hate to deal with dramatic people.
Guess school supervisors are programmed to handle this sort of situations 'tai qi' style. -
Outdoor play okay then. They get to cycle quite a fair bit

My son spent pre,N1 and half N2 in Etonhouse at Mountbatten. Then we moved him to Brighton Montessori at Fort Road till end 2009. Brighton Mon is really good, we never had any complains. Before we left I saw parents putting their 2 year olds on waitlist..
AuntieM
may i know the reason why u left brighton then? ur son only there for 1 year?
i am considering between brigton at fort road and Pats at meyer. any feedback about this 2? -
Hi doramon,
My son spent later half of N2, K1 and K2 at Brighton Mon. That should be almost 2 n half years. He left cause he is Primary 1 now. -

Hi doramon
,
Happy except for high school fees
Wished we didn't waste the earlier years at Etonhouse though.....
Teachers are nice, good balance between 'work' and play. Big outdoor area. Outings every holiday.....
If I say more...would sound like I 'from' school liao.
