Hi Tegami,mummy of 3:
Just ask my auditor about my application. He said it was still scanning and pending. Haiiiii, i think cant get EM on March 2010. Got to have Plan B for my DD1 now. So sad

Just curious about why you are asking your auditor about your application? Auditor's role is to audit the account of the RC or Grassroot Organisation. You should be talking to your assistant constituency manager about your application.
For your info, you might want to read up RC rule & regulation in http://www.pa.gov.sg/media-files/about-us/Rules-RC-04-09.doc to understand the RC organisation. Note that a lot of RC members (even chairman) are not familar with RC rule & regulation.
An ACM (assistant constituency manager) will be present in every meeting to act a spoken person for PA.
There is two process for the appointment of community leader, screening & application. The screening process check whether you have any criminal record or involve in any 'prohibited' religion or organistion so as to maintain the good and clean image of community leader. Once you pass the screening process, the assistant constituency manager will get the advisor to endorse your application before sending to HQ for processing.
You might want to check with ACM which stage your application is at.

IC... u may want to read thru the thread... I think someone mentioned abt MOE not accepting your case in Phase2B, since u reside in different GRC.

The deifnition under MOE is 'Current serving executive committee members of the Residents’ Committee (RC), Neighbourhood Committee (NC), Citizen’s Consultative Committee (CCC), Community Club Management Committee (CCMC) and the Community Development Council (CDC) are eligible to register their children under Phase 2B.'

The only reason I guess might be that RC & NC members are restricted to the area which they reside in while CCC & CCMC are the 'management team'.
Maybe can double confirm with ACM (more reliable source than Chairman unless your Chairman is super 'on the ball' type). -

I agree \"CCC & CCMC are the 'management team'\"... so they are not limited to their own GRC... so don't think they will accept just any tom, dick, harry as members... usually some MD, bosses kind... just my guess

There are a few ways to enter CCC & CCMC. The first type are normally MD, bosses as mentioned by Daddy D. (I know a few who are VP, lawyer, CFO, etc). The second type is that you are active PAP branch members (very active in meet the people session). The third type is GRO chairman (WEC, YEC, IAEC, MAEC chairman will sit in CCMC while CSC, RC, NC, CDEC will sit in CCC). The last one is that you are currently active GRO members and managed to persuade SCM to recommend you. -
Hi,
1)Can I confirm that if I am not residing in the school-GRC but I serve in the GRC where the school in is in, I will qualify under 2B once I am an endorsed Executive Member? Eg. if I serve in Moulmein but live in Bedok can I apply for ACS which is under Moulmein?
2) If I do move and live within 1km of the school, but I serve in a far away and difference GRC CCC, and I do get myself as an endorsed EM and GRL, I will be able to take that endorsement back to my residential GRC (which is diff from the one I do service in) and apply under 2B? (reason for this question is that I have been invited to serve in a diff constituency and they said that as long as I reside in the GRC of my chosen school, I can still take the endorsement of my service GRC which is different from my residential GRC, and apply under 2B) Eg. I live in Balmoral but I serve in Ang Mo Kio, can I apply for ACS which is in Moulmein?
Appreciate all the PRECISE clarification that I can get.
Thank you. -

As per Question 40 in MOE FAQS(http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/faqs/), registration under phase 2B for community leader is resticted to the constituency where you serve.Hi,

In addition, you can only serve as executive member in Resident Committee where you reside in. The only propability to serve in Resident Committee where you do not reside in is to join as associated member. You need to consult the assistant constituency manager to check whether associated member is qualify for phase 2B.
As for CCC/CCMC, it is restricted to the constituency where you serve. For better clarification, check with a PA staff, i.e. Assistant/Deputy/Senior Constituency Manager.
