      Hi titank

it seems that needs ballet even for within 1km for them ;( (i hope i read wrongly πŸ™‚

i believe it could get real nervous hahah

also, i read that north vista also have the same balleting situation.. sign.. now i'm so lost.. which sch to really go?

all 3 schs seem needs balleting. only difference for me is that plmgs - i was given a chance to do pv. of all 3, plmgs may seem to be the better chance to go in now cos of the pv. but i'm not within 1km or 2km, hence worried i may not get in if it needs balloting.

      help! :stupid:

        Hi catherine

for pv, they could call u up and ask u to do β€˜anything’ that they require help on. for eg. could be a canteen duty for 1 hr daily, or library programme where you read to the girls or for outing, etc.

it really depends which area they need help and they will call you.

u keen on doing pv for them as well?

From past balloting history of PLMGS, balloting only occurs for those staying in more than 2km. Maybe your chance would be high to get in PLMGS as compare with Nan Chiau.

Are you still awaiting to do PV for Nan chiau & North Vista? Maybe need to evaluate whether worth to do as when it comes to Phase 2B you can only select one school.

              hi hi

i don't think i would stance a chance to do pv in nan chiau or north vista now cos is already february ;((

phase 2b plmgs better? i'm outside 2km hence would need to ballot. think if i don't get in after ballot, really be sad ;(( :stupid:

how about i try plmgs for phase 2b (since nan chiau and north vista can't for phase 2b) then i try phase 2c for nan chiau and north vista?

nan chiau or north vista which one has better chance since i'm within 1km for both? what do your think??

              thanks

                Hi Rainbow,

Guess you would try Phase 2B in PLMGS. If not successful then try North Vista in Phase 2C instead of Nan Chiau. To get into nan Chiau in Phase 2C would require a lot of luck.
                :stupid:

just a thot, should i quickly go register myself as a member in the hokkien huay kuan and get myself placed in phase 2b so that my chances to enter the gal be higher?

or it wouldn't help? cos i'm too late to join as a member? 😒
                    Hi rainbows,

you are too late to join as a member, Hokkien Huay Kuan do not take in members as and when you apply. You have to get 2 members recomendation and wait for the next meeting and wait for approval, which I have waited for 6-7 months for approval.

...Another thing, any parents here are Hokkien Huay Kuan members? May I know how long have you been a member and did you manage to get a recommendation from them? I called them and they said that they do not give recommendation to every member, it will depend on the quota given by MOE every year...

What they tell you is true. Some facts:
                      1. You do NOT need to be a long-time SHHK member (ie. more than a year) before you can be considered to be recommended for an affiliated school;

                      2. Even if you are a long-time member, your chance of getting recommended for an affiliated school depends on the quota allowed by MOE and the school for Phase 2B, which is different every year. So if there are enough members who are longer serving or higher up the SHHK hierarchy vying for the school, you may not get the recommendation.

In other words, being a member of SHHK will qualify you to be considered for Phase 2B priority in affiliated schools, but there is NO guarantee that you will eventually be given that priority.

                      Thanks! Its so stress...

Wow  that's a long time to wait for membership to be approved...
