GEP P4-P6, same as mainstream, also eligible for the Edusave Merit Bursary if u r are within the top 25% of the level, ....... u may not be eligible, cos only the top 4 of the level can get the scholarship.
Thanks 25hr mama! So the edusave merit bursary/cert for gep is within the gep cohort only. I thought it's all P4 (gep+mainstream). Indeed For P5/6, it's very tough to get edusave scholarship, Dd cohort is very small, 10% is only top 3 in level
Yah boi, didn't get the top 10% cert :moneyflies: -

Hello! ^^
I was from GEP in primary school and basically in my school the books we use were
1. English Text
We had a book for English (Charlotteโs Web, etc.) every year and we would conduct literary analysis of the book in class. It is sort of like Secondary school literature on a more superficial level and we had discussed about themes and symbols. Hence, if this book is included in the book list, you might want to check if it would be used or its just for out of class reading. ^^
2. Math textbooks & workbooks
Despite the fact that we did not follow the order of the textbook in our lessons and had extra worksheets, we had to do the relevant practices in the textbook and workbook at the end of every topic. This might not be the case for all schools however.
3. Science textbooks & workbooks
Though this was on the booklist, we did not really use them and the books became more of an out of class reference text.
4. Social Studies textbooks & workbooks
The workbooks were never touched in class or used out of class. However, the textbooks were heavily used in lessons and as a Primary 5 student, we touched on the Primary 6 textbook as well in our lesson. ^^
5. Chinese textbooks & workbooks
These would definitely be used in my classes. ^^
I really hope this helps! All the above was based on my pass experience in a particular school so it might not apply for all schools.
