This is not the right place to discuss organic food but I just had to jump in to say that exposure to chemicals and pesticide in non-organic food does the opposite of building a strong immunity. I do agree however that one should not limit oneself to organic food at the expense of a variety in diet. Sorry if this detracts from the main discussion.

No worries about that, empressplace. 😉

Different children are brought up in different
ways hence making each one of them unique.

          DC Mummy:
pat school proivdes all-rounded preschool education.........

Was having this discussion with hubby recently as our nephew recently joined the Pat's schoolhouse near our place. He was thinking of putting our K1 going there.

He mentioned that since enrichment classes is included in their cirriculum, we should consider shifting our K1 there. As the amount we pay for her kindy + enrichment classes came up to around the same amount. I was like.... I am not too sure. I would prefer to send her to various centres who are deemed as experts in those areas than to let her do a \"under one roof\" type of enrichment. Any thoughts on that?

I was all ready to have my son enrolled in pats meyer from 3 or 4 yrs onwards. Having read pebbles’s comment on the story club inexperience teacher cast a doubt on my decision. Even though story club is just a one a week class, it is still impt and the school shd place emphasis on quality of all their lesson. It makes one wonder if any of their teachers leave from the nursury or k1/2, will they also get any non qualified teachers to replace.

I would like to know if their current nursury or j
k1/2 teachers are up to mark. Hope parents of existing students could share their thots.

D'Story Club is probably not the main focus of Pat's but if you have any complaints about their services, you should write in as Patricia Koh is surprisingly responsive.

I've personally attended one trial lesson for Story Club.
It is one of the most poorly conducted trials i've ever
been to. Overcrowding and also the teacher then was
very unprepared. I honestly didn't enjoy the session..
Very unimpressed in fact if i were to put it bluntly.

It is sad to hear that things doesn't seem to have
improved from the time i went for mine from the
              current/recent feedback from pebblez. Moving
around their teachers just to salvage the pgrm
may not be the best solution to this... Just my
              honest opinion.

I also attended a trial lesson at Katong. I also agree with u that it was the worst trial that I have ever been. The teacher was not able to get the children's attention and the ratio of teacher to student doesn't seem appropriate. They shld get at least one more teacher in.

I visited Pat at meyer and was impressed by the principal \"sales talk\". when i walked around the school, i thought the teachers look professional? in fact i feel the teachers are generally better than the other preschool i have ever seen.

Dee did u visit the school? i think we should visit and rely on our gut feel...

but of course knowing this negative comment about their enrichment programme do make me have second thoughts now....i may likley visit the school again to see....

can anybody here tell me whether the staff turnover at PAts @ meyer is high?

my second option is actually brighton @fort road...

any comments/ feedback will be most grateful 😄

                  hi…

I’m not sure if current parents of PATs does agree with me but i feel my DD doesn’t seem to learn much for subjects like Chinese, Maths etc. She’s in K2 this year and i’m abit worried abt her blending into the Pri School. I hv to send her for both Chinese & English enrichment classes.

I do know some of my DD’s classmates parents do think like me .
Can anyone with children that hv graduated fm PATs able to shred some information or feedback ?

                      She’s in PATs Halifax

Yes they dont seem to focus much for academics.
I wld think PATS curriculum are more suited for PG & Nursery levels.
My DD is creative, which i believe that’s their emphasis for their students.

Friends with kids in other pre-schools seems to be progressing much fm K1 onwards, which i feel my DD is behind. Everyday i ask her what she’s been learning and she doesn’t seem to hv a clue.

I am worried but am keeping my fingers crossed that she can catch up by P1.

                        Hi,

I transferred both my ds to Pat's Schoolhouse at the beginning of this year, from another Pat's affiliated childcare because they were bought over by a large consortium.

DH and I really cannot ask for more, and felt even more certain that our decision to switch them to Pat's is a positive move. Sure some of these changes might probably be attributed to other factors, but the changes have been consistent and we are seeing how the new environment - teachers, school, friends, curriculum - is drawing out the best out of our children even after 2 weeks in school.
                        I hope this helps.
Hi, which centre they are in? halifax?

Could any of you share some experience about jubilee park Pats schoolhouse

                        Thx
