Just 5 Things... to Keep The Romance in Our Marriage Alive
-
carebear:
Hi Carebear, nothing to disapprove. I think we all have our personal bedroom arrangements.I don't think many will approve of what i have been doing.......
My DH and I do not sleep together.
We have not been sleeping together since the birth of my elder child 12 years ago.
I think this has an important role in keeping our marriage alive!
We surprise each other by creeping into each other's room on and off in the middle of the night. Sometimes in each other's toilet also.
I like the feeling that i am not the \"wife\" but his secret lover instead. He sleeps in his study with his computer which he considers as his \"wife\".
Like what Autumnbronze and Andaiz mentioned, all these sneaking in and sneaking out, like conjugal visits sound very (s)exciting!! :politebleah: -
More 5 things to share... but this time wholesome ones
1. Have a Date Nite
Make sleepover arrangements to leave kids at Grandparents' home, and the 2 of you can go for dinner and perhaps, a movie
2. Have a Date Day
Unable to leave kids at Grandparents, then if possible, take 1/2 day off (better still if both can take full day off), and go out for breakfast or lunch, followed by a movie, shopping, or whatever that catches your fancy. But NO running household errands.
If you feel guilty about leaving them at home alone or with the maid, then plan your date day whilst the kids are in school or at CCAs.
3. Rent a Movie
Unable to take time out to go to the movies, then bring the movies to you. Rent a movie that BOTH will enjoy, send the kids to sleep early and then both can settle down to watch the movie together at night. Create the mood by preparing snacks, drinks (wine? hot cocoa drink?) and pillows/cushions to make yourself comfortable. Just don't get too comfortable that one of you may fall asleep whilst watching the movie.
4. Dinner at home
Use TV as baby sitter and park the kids in front of the telly to keep them occupied. Then, the 2 of you settle down at the dining table and have your own quiet dinner, minus the kids.
I know, sometimes it's hard to find time to go out for couple dinner. Then, enjoy each other's company at home. Also, you won't feel guilty that u are leaving the kids home alone. We take what little couple time we can get.
5. Send a Flirty message
Hey, that's what handphones/ smartphones are for... 'nuff said!!

Do not be surprised that this works for some... Read an article which I cant recall where... Which states that spouses sleeping apart helps to keep the marriage and relationship going, some of the reasons stated were due to one spouse being a light sleeper or one spouse being a heavy snorer etc etc... In which case, these spouses sleeping apart helps to keep each other \"sane\" and having less reasons for spouse to be angry or finding fault with each otherI don't think many will approve of what i have been doing.......

As long as it works for you... It's a good arrangement

He realised a vibrating sensation in his pocket, didn't look who sent him
the MMS and proceeded to open its contents. Once the page opened with
a skimpy dressed me in it, he said he quickly held the phone to his chest.
Then, turned left.... turned right.... and took another peek before putting
