Yes, this year COP remains at 256.... No Drop from last yr ....
I actually thought at most it will drop to 254.... But yay...stands strong ....

I think I read somewhere that DHS is taking 200 students through DSA this year. Is it confirmed? I believe they are offered letters. How many do you expect will accept the offer base on past years experience?

What i heard was it is a usual practice to take in half of the cohort ( abt 200) via DSA...( similar to most other IP schs)
No data as to how many actually accepted the offers....

For sec3 and beyond...pupils will be allocated accordingly to subj combi...

I do know many IP schools take in half of the cohort through DSA. the reason I asked is because I happen to think that DHS is similar with RV which usually take in 60-80 through DSA.

Does anyone know what are the activities in-placed for next Monday reporting to DHS ? I believe we should be buying the uniform and textbook on that day ? Should the child be reporting in their primary school uniform ?

According to my dd, there will be a Principal's talk in the hall followed by purchasing of uniform & textbooks. But if you don't want to queue, you can always go back another day to buy them.

It is called gifted but the students are really chosen at random (unless your results are chingchonglinglongtingtongpingPong-ly good I have friends who scored 256 and got into the gifted class. Those two classes' students will do more work than normal Dhs students and will kinda be more motivated to study because of the \"gifted\" thing they will have to live up to. And they have better teachers...? Not sure about that XD
