Useful information as we are going shopping tomorrow! Ds has outgrown his school shoes.

Where's a good place to shop for sports shoes for kids/teenagers? What about school bags - what do teenage boys carry usually?

      Thanks!

I bought my pair of shoes last year at a sportswear exhibition at EXPO. Prices are quite cheap ($30 for a pair of Mizunos). If it s inconvenient for you to go there, I think reckying around for some good deals is the best. (I don't even know if there is an upcoming exhibition at EXPO. :P)

Generally, all bags are fine I use the haversack type, because sometimes students have to bring laptops to school, so it is convenient for me. Some students carry a sling bag and others carry a haversack. It really boils down to your son's choice.

      Hope this helps!

Just to clarify on handphone use. Can the students use handphone or iPad to take notes or jote down teachers' instructions in class? Thanks.

Usually no, in case some students will game on their device. It depends on the teacher.

Thanks Q Pan. I'll tell my DS to use an organizer instead....told him he has to be more independent and take down teachers' instructions more attentively.

I graduated from HCJC two years ago - was in Hwa Chong for 6 years and I'm glad to say that if there's one thing I'm proud of it's to be from this school. Don't worry about your son, he'll turn out just fine šŸ˜„
