My DD said that according to the principal, it's about 380 this year. -

Its not necessary to buy assessment books becos DHS is an IP school n it has its own set of notes. Don't think there are any IP assessment books since every IP school is different.
Thanks :imcool: -

He welcomed the new students by inviting them to stand up, then asked them to shake hands with their parents/grandparents who were sitting beside them to show appreciation for the parental care, support and guidance. :rahrah: -

U mean agg tscore 256 in K/L class ? What i know....yrs back was 271 and above....
It is called gifted but the students are really chosen at random (unless your results are chingchonglinglongtingtongpingPong-ly good I have friends who scored 256 and got into the gifted class. Those two classes' students will do more work than normal Dhs students and will kinda be more motivated to study because of the \"gifted\" thing they will have to live up to. And they have better teachers...? Not sure about that XDFTW_Dunmanian:
Hi to all,
Is it true that there is one or two \"gifted\" class in DHS for each level?
However, there were some 271 not in either of these 2 classes....
But ....actually not much diff whether u are in sbge or not....
More homework...and more expectations fr teachers.....
IMO, No need to be too concern whether in sbge class or not....
I know of GEPper who are grouped into these classes with T-score of 25X. I think the SBGE classes consists mainly of GEPpers with some high score (27X) mainstreamers. But come Sec 3, there will be streaming and re-grouping by Sec 2 results, not based on PSLE score. -
It seems like DHS is relatively more popular this year than last year. What do you think maybe the reasons? Do you think the two open houses, one in may-june period and one in November helps? Also DHS made a corporate video and some prospectus. Do all these help in making up your mind?

My understanding is that DHS has very few GEPpers in the SBGE classes, at least that is the case of my dd’s class (only 1 or 2). Majority of them are either psle high t-scorer or dsa (academic/general) pupils. -
Hi parent, if you would like to have private car transport to dhs in the morning for the new academic year, you may contact me at 96782033 for enquiries. (Only for those living in the Whampoa Drive and Kallang area).
Cheers! -

i thot the poster refers to Mainstreamers with agg 256....which i believe it shouldnt be the case...
Yes, comes sec3....\"ranking\" is based on sec 2 results...
But again....fr our experience ...No significant diff even in subj enrichment classes .....
U still get good subj teachers teaching that particular subject...regardless of what class.... -

And also during CME lessons....their chinese T often emphasizes on filial piety and other character values.....
I am one parent.... who appreciates the school for such teachings....
