I have graduated from crescent and would love to offer my advice to any of you whose DD is joining crescent. πŸ™‚ Just to speak about my experience, Crescent is a fantastic school! I would really like to state everything i love about the school but it would really be too long. It wasnt my first choice but i am really happy i came to crescent. There is no \"popular kid\" and everyone is nice (the people i know at least) and i really like our principal and how she emphasises that grades are not everything, which i think it's what the youths these day needs to hear. Plus i do admit some teachers are not very good but i left crescent feeling grateful to all my teachers.

                  Hello πŸ™‚

I'm from Choir and there isn't any criteria however, make sure that you go for the auditions after the cca open house. πŸ™‚ Hope to see you in Choir!

                      Can anyone provide feedback:

                      1) O level results 2013 in terms of distinctions/L1R5 scores
                      2) what the school did to improve O level scores for this year
                      3) can joining clubs and societies garner 2 points deduction for L1R5?

                      Thanks in advance!

Can only help you with #3. When you join a cca or whatnot your participation, representation etc will contribute to your leaps points. You need >20 leaps points to get -2. Most students max out the leaps points from CIP (5 pts max for doing 100 hours over 4 years) and you get 1 pt for being in a cca every year (so that's 9 so far altgt). The other 11+ points can get from leadership (class rep, prefect) participation, enrichment (some schools usually organize enrichment activities for the students) and achievement (win medals, win B/C div competitions etc). Students who have leadership positions + active in cca can easily get 30+ points.
