Need some advice....

TKSS vs. Maris Stella which one is better? Both COP for this year is 236 as confirmed by respective school.

Maris stella will have to study bible studies? Personally I prefer tkss because the environment is better whereas maris stella is next to the crematorium.

You're just like my good friend who told me just now that she not prefer MS due to next to the crematorium...haha!
Fengshui no good!!! By the way your child taking psle next year?

No. My son will be Sec 1 in 2014 at TKSS.

In fact my Ds didn’t know that we chosen TKSS for him. He got to know it only when we told him he is posted to TKSS. He has never been to this school till registration date. So far no big complaint but he was a bit disappointed as never seen any of his primary schoolmate. He is kinda peer group type.

Any parents with child in class 1g?

My daughter will b in 1G.
My son was allocated to Group 7 on the registration day. Are they arrange the class by T-score?
My son was also in group 7 which is class 1g. I dont think they arranged the class by t score. My son's ex classmate having lower t score than him is in another class which is in front of his class. My son t score is 239. How about your girl and son? Stitchy and leessang.
Hello all,
My daughter is in the same Group 7 (1G?) as well. First time for us at TKSS during the registration. Look forward to share more information with all. We plan to join their CCA Day, and the TK1 night to know more about the school.

We live in Pasir Ris. Not sure which route shd b shortest time :-

          (1) Pasir Ris MRT ==> Paya Lebar MRT ==> take bus to Tg Katong Rd (but hv to walk further)

          (2) Pasir Ris MRT ==> Paya Lebar MRT ==> Dakota ==> Take bus to TKSS (side gate).

We spoke to a few students, they mentioned the time used to travel by bus fr Paya Lebar MRT to TG Katong Rd, and walk to TKSS, is almost the same with Paya Lebar MRT transfer to Dakota and take bus to TKSS.

Maybe should also try out another route :-
          (3) Take bus fr Pasir Ris to Serangoon MRT ==> to Dakota ==> bus to TKSS. Will try and see if the time will b shorter.

Which class is your ds assigned to? Wow it sure is a big surprise for him. So he was from Maris stella pri? I believe he will be adapting well to tkss. From the review I gathered online, current students and ex students , tkss is a very good school and teachers are supportive n friendly. You dont hv to worry unduly.

I lived at Seng Kang. We tried to alight at both Paya Lebar and Dakota stations and I will choose Dakota. Paya Lebar got more buses to Tanjong Katong Road (about 4 stops) but you need to walk further to Dunman Road and enter at the side gate. At Dakota, there are 2 buses going to Dunman Road (2 stops), it stops at the opposite side, so we need to cross an overhead bridge and enter at side gate at Dunman Road. For return trip, the bus stop is just next to the Dunman Road side gate.

My Dd scored 237. Looks like with a few in class 1G and stay in sengkang.

We plan to take the NEL den to Circle line alighting at dakota station.

TKSS is a gd school. Myself graduated O level there when it was still known as TK Tech.

TKSS has a long history. When I was in sec sch (DHS), I walked across to TK Tech for technical class.

Initially tkss wasn’t in our list. We went to tkgs for the principal talk. Din mk it for their open house. But the atmosphere in tkgs was gloomy maybe cos it wasnt an open house and not many students around. Only teachers. So i suggested to my dd to cross over to tkss n see the school and she loves the atmosphere. The students are very friendly and cheerful. There was a good vibe in the school. Thats when we made tkss our first choice and alas here we are in sec 1G.

Though travelling time a bit challenging, but i m positive that my dd will benefit studying there. I hope…
