Class 5SD3 is the best class. Class 5SD1 is 2nd best. 5SD2 is 3rd best.

            Hi P1 (2014) parents

Anyone else’s daughter in Primary 1 for 2014? I wanted to introduce my girl to a new classmate/school mate…perhaps arrange a playdate if time permits before school starts. Please PM me. Thanks!

My son is P5 this year(2014). Best class is 5SD2, follow by 5SD1 and 5SD3. Majority of 4I7 and some 4I8 students from last year promoted to 5SD2.

Class allocation is base on P2 results to allocate student into P3. P3 and P4 will be in the same class. P5 and P6 will be in the same class. It will re-allocate at end of P4.

                    Hi there,

I’m deciding between Rosyth and HIPS for my son’s 2014 registration for P1 in 2015. A major consideration is the distance, as I live in Punggol and my ILs live in Kovan. After school, my son goes to my IL’s place. Those taking school bus and living in Punggol, would you be able to let me know roughly what time the pick up is? I’m just afraid he might have to wake up too early if he takes school bus to Rosyth, which is much further. Also, would like to know if HIPS gives children a lot of homework in the first few years. It seems that Rosyth is quite balanced in this aspect and does not over burden their students, which seems like a plus point to me. Any feedback would be appreciated. Tks!

                      Hi there,

I feel for school bus, it is not the distance that determine the pickup time. It more to how many pick up points the bus need to route after picking up your kids.

We stayed less than 2 km to my kids primary school. If we drive our kids there, it take less than 10 minutes to reach. But our school bus pick up my kids at 6.15 am!!!!!! School started at 7.20 am. Because we are the 1st kids to go up the bus and last kids to drop off when return. 😢 My friend stayed in town area, same school as my kids and her pick up time is 6.30 am. Later than mine. :stupid:

Hence, to me, school bus timing should not be used to determine your choice of school. You maybe surprise that the pick up time for Roysth \"MAYBE\" later than Holy. 😛

                        Hi Krex

Another point to note: The school bus route and timings change depending on kids who sign up for the year. It can be quite a drastic change from year to year. A friend who lives in a condo near school…her son was first to be picked one year and sixth to be picked up the next year.
