...at least when he becomes adult he may pick up drinking green tea which is good for health.

Ha ha! Better than coffee! Do you believe I still have not tried coffee?! That's because I was told as a kid that kids should not drink coffee. To this day, I still have not 'grown up' to drink it. Blessing, I guess. Habits from young are so important.

Side track a bit. Most of us begin drinking coffee when we become adult, may be in uni or when we came out to work. One cup a day fill your life and makes no harm. What about coca cola ? You never drink coca cola meh ? I have seen P6 student drink coffee or tea, now in RI.

I don't mean they are bad, just that habits taught when we are young do stick with us. And, I know I am unusual, I have only met one other person who has not drank coffee all his life, and he is 21. And, drinking coffee or coca cola does not make a person stupid as well. If you like coffee, drink to your heart's content! Its better to be happy then to have to worry about the consequence of a cup here and there! To each his own la! Even DS1 drinks coffee, and that's ok as long as he can sleep at night. And, hee hee, he was an RI student, and so was I. 😄 So I guess coffee does not make a difference which school you will end up?

If never drink coffee, maybe can start drinking now:

I recall some old research that said caffeine for young kids is a no-no cos it stunts growth.

ha ha... no thanks. I'd rather cook rice in my steel pot and not use aluminium. It was also shown that eating food cooked in aluminium utensils does aggravate the problem. I quite like the uniqueness of not having drank coffee.. I would like to live to tell my great-grandchildren about it. Fun mah...

I realize I'm very off topic this morning, aiyo. Last one (famous last words too...)

Yah 2ppaamm, these days so many things so bad for us. Lucky I got a doc who is super sensitive about these things, so can help watch out for us. He's semi-retired though (see, he's at a very ripe old age), so can't recommend him. [If he knows I'm writing about him, he'll scold me for calling him lao :)].

Ya, I also OT, so sorry. But, do you think diet affects a kid's intelligence? Since it has proven that certain food does worsen certain conditions. E.g. some people tell me ginko nuts is really good for brains. This cleaner lady told me that her grandson eats quite a bit of that. If she is telling the truth, her grandson was a president scholar!

Also, groundnut roots help you to grow tall, etc etc. Anyone tried some brain food?
