      TravelMummy:
      dimsum:

Just informed by the bus operator that bus fare will increase next year. Big jump from $100 to $135. Previously, one way trip was 80% of the full fare for two way trip. But the uncle said from next year onwards, single trip fare will be the same as two way trip fare. Haiz.....

Oh this is so terrible. A 35% jump?! What can justify this? And having single trip fares at the same price as both ways is simply unfair. Is this a monopoly? Any other alternatives?

We are at the mercy of bus operators. Every year, they will have meetings with the school to discuss the fare increase. He said it had been approved by school and i can contact the school if i am not happy. It is monopoly in that different parts of Sg are covered by specific operators. Initially i was thinking, since i must pay for two way, may as well let him take the bus to school. But uncle said pick up time is 6am and reaches TTC at 6.30 when flag raising is at 7.50! Way too early. When my hb drives him to school, they can leave at 7.05am.

Ok, then I suppose the diff in class size isn't that material, 40 (HA) vs 37 (non HA).

Mrs Lee mentioned that one of the P3 class could have 25++ students only if that helps the students better...which is why they have 11 instead of 10 P3 classes next year

Long hair is ok…so long as they are tied up neatly.

For the P3 HA classes, is there some form of subject banding or differentiation amongst these classes? Strong in languages or maths etc?

No subject banding for P3 HA classes. Class allocation is based on S Formation. Please read page 264 for details.

I believe there may be some \"manual\" tweaking, not strictly based on ranking... :scratchhead:
