My niece got into TW8 this year. Is there any special Prog by the school or just biz as usual? Heard the sch org special maths classes for the more academically inclined kids? Does this take place in P4 or does one have to wait till p5 pls?

I’m trying to download the presentation slides from yesterday’s parents orientation - but can’t see to find them in their website.

          anyone can help?

i saw dd’s timetable - going by the MPE, MCCA, PE that she has in a week, I think she probably only gets to wear her uniform once a week! ha!

any existing mommies can share if P1 needs to attend the MCCA?

my ds came back home with a sour face last nite - reached our bus stop at 7:15pm and complaint that she wants to go home early (still in kindergarten mode!) and this morning, she said when can she stop going to P1 coz it’s so… long! hahahaha… how to adjust her mindset ah… day 1 already wanna end P1!

I have not heard anything about this. Where did you hear from? In the past years, those students are only encouraged to sign up for math competitions and go for the TTLT programs.

              Hi mommy2two,

The VP or one of the hods mentioned that the slides would be uploaded onto website by next wk, so u can check again. MCCA for P1 is new this year as my elder ds only had mcca when he was in p3 last year. It is held within curriculum time so no worries ar

Heard from ex-students there are Maths olympiad training that the school organizes, but maybe p4 is too young...

Yes, top class being TW9. I only heard about Maths banding into M1 - M4 class. They were informed on their maths banded class today.

Furthermore it is only for short periods of time and insufficient. For more comprehensive training, better to go to those math centres on your own.
The school encourages those who get 90 or above in math to try the competitions; they don't really look at which class you are in.
